Upon arriving here to unload, the receiving office informed me that an unloading reference number was required; however, the shipper never provided me with one. I have repeatedly attempted to contact the shipper, but have received no response. After waiting for two hours, I was finally told that I could park on the dock to await unloading—though I was given no indication of how long that wait might be. For a truck driver, time is everything. Why must we—the drivers—bear the consequences of your mutual operational failures? It is an absolute torment! I have been waiting at the unloading dock for 90 minutes. Unloading still hasn't started. . In reality, they aren't busy at all; the docks are completely empty, yet they simply refuse to unload the cargo, forcing the drivers to wait. A company like this is bound to be run into the ground by its own workforce sooner or later—spending their time drinking coffee, chatting, and killing hours just to collect a paycheck.
