I strongly discourage anyone considering purchasing windows from TMC Windows from moving forward without being extremely mindful and aware of what can happen if something goes wrong with your order due to a company mistake. Based on our experience, you may be left dealing with the wrong product and no support.
We ordered custom windows from TMC Windows in September 2025 and paid $40,000 for the project. We were originally told that the windows would be delivered and installed within approximately 8–16 weeks. Because we ordered custom windows and understood that custom products can sometimes take longer, we tried to be extremely patient when the project was delayed by months.
Unfortunately, what followed was far beyond what we consider a reasonable delay.
We waited 7 months for our windows to be delivered.
Despite the significant delay, we remained patient because we genuinely wanted the specific custom windows we had ordered and continued to believe that the company would complete the project properly.
When the installation was finally scheduled, we took time off work specifically to be home and provide access to the house for the installation crew.
The installers did not show up.
Even worse, nobody contacted us to tell us that the installation had been canceled or delayed. We were simply left waiting at home for hours. We eventually had to call the company ourselves to find out what was happening, only to be told that the installers would not be coming that day and would come the following day.
We should have been informed in advance. No one made any effort to notify us, which was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful of our time.
The following day brought even more confusion
The installers arrived the following day, only to tell us that they were missing two windows and that those windows were supposedly on a “backup order.”
This was extremely frustrating because just one week earlier, we had been told that everything was in their warehouse and ready for installation.
The installation crew also appeared to have very limited knowledge about our specific order and the windows that had been purchased. After additional confusion and communication with the company manager, Max, it turned out that the windows were actually available, and we proceeded with the installation.
At this point, our confidence in the process was already significantly reduced.
Damage to our brand-new home
The installation process itself was far from smooth.
Our brand-new home was not properly prepared or protected before the installation began, and the installers damaged our Chevron hardwood flooring in a few areas.
For a project of this size and cost, we expected our home to be properly protected before any work began. The damage to our flooring was completely unacceptable, particularly because it could have been prevented with proper preparation and care.
They also did not properly clean our house after the installation. We were left speechless and the team was careless.
Unfortunately, the flooring damage turned out to be only the beginning.
A professional company should take responsibility when something goes wrong, communicate honestly and respectfully with its customers, provide accurate information, and actually follow through on its promises.
That has not been our experience.
Instead, we have had to repeatedly chase the company for answers. We have been given promises that were not followed through on, and our calls and messages have repeatedly gone unanswered.
At this point, we feel that we have been left with no choice but to escalate the matter further. We are not willing to accept paying full price for a product and installation that were never properly completed.
Our experience at the beginning was very different. The company initially appeared professional, and we felt comfortable moving forward with such a significant purchase.
However, we believe the true quality of a company is revealed when something goes wrong.

If I could give them negative stars, I would because that is what they have earned. Started working with salesman early April (omitting names so the review isn’t taken down). When we told him we were not certain about the style of doors for some of the items he urged us to sign the contract to take advantage of the discount and assured us we would be able to update via a change order. Nothing would be ordered until the choices were made and the change order was executed. We have done many remodeling projects over the years and change orders are standard so we had no reason to doubt his assurances. Since then he has overpromised and failed to deliver. Every time we texted or emailed to ask about the change order status he reiterated that it was with the office, everyone was aware, nothing would be ordered and the change order would be sent - tonight, tomorrow, next day…you get the picture. After weeks of waiting for the change order so we could move on the project, we tried to escalate a number of times because based on the reviews we expected better customer service. However, we were told we needed to resolve all the miscommunications and failed follow through with the salesman that had failed to follow through.
Imagine our surprise when we got a text that some of the doors were ready for installation. The salesman was shocked as he had told us nothing would be ordered until the change order was signed.
In an effort to salvage the project and because we wanted to believe the salesman, we allowed for partial installation. The installation was riddled with additional issues. Wrong hardware, wrong trim, no wood molding around the door. The salesman was apologetic and did not understand why there was a disconnect.
After another few weeks of messages, emails and requests to escalate, we finally got confirmation that the salesperson and the director of revenue would come to our home at 2pm on 6/22. They arrived late 30 minutes late (even though my husband had made it clear he was meeting them during his lunch hour) and the director of revenue was defensive and put all blame on the misrepresentations made by their salesman on us. During the meeting the salesman told him that the remaining doors had not been ordered. After that meeting the company STILL had the salesman follow up to ask how we wanted to proceed. He was embarrassed at that point because he was telling us the company would be able to address our concerns and they hung him out to dry.
Even though it wasn’t our fault, in an effort to put this nightmare behind us and NEVER deal with them again, after a few exchanges with the director of revenue, we agreed to a resolution provided they completed the project by today. No response for over a week until this afternoon when they basically said ‘thanks for agreeing to letting us do what we haven’t done but keep bending over backwards so we can do it in our terms’.
@owner of the company you should step in sooner and not wait for the online reviews to try justifying the experience.
For all those that posted 1 star reviews in the last year we should talk about options. Based on your experiences I can tell is not the individual players. It’s the company.

Buckle Up TMC & Win-Dor...you are not getting away with this.
This actually makes me sad to write this. We have used these companies several times for window and doors and have spend upwards of 25K with them and were about to spend about 25K more until this incident.
We had a multi panel wall door installed 2 years ago. It was our second one with them. The cost on this door was over 10K. The door is still under the TMC install warranty and Win-Dor's product warranty. This door is an entry to our home so we have security concerns. The lock stopped working about 6 weeks ago. TMC came out to look at it and told us they could not fix it but that they would order a part... two weeks went by and nothing (no call back). We had to call TMC about 5 times until we got someone to call us back (talking to their AI phone person because they don't have a live person answer anymore apparently). So now we are three weeks in with a door that does not lock and have had to spend money securing it. Finally they call back and one guy tells me that they dropped the ball and they never ordered the part. So they order the part (supposedly as a rush order), another 2 weeks goes by and nothing. We have now called about 15 times to talk to them. Finally we get someone and they say that Win-Dor is going to fix it for us and we needed to call them directly! I call Win-Dor and they tell me that is incorrect, TMC must fix it and that a part order just came in about 5 days ago for the part with no rush on it...(almost 4 weeks since they came to look at the issue). I asked if we could all get on the phone together and discuss it and get on the same page and their response was "sorry that is between you and TMC, we don't get involved" but it is THEIR PRODUCT THAT FAILED. I call back to TMC and they were like a deer in head lights. They somewhat apologized and promise me that when the part comes in I will get same day installation. The part is 2 exits away from them in Brea so if they cared they would simply go get it. Monday the part should have arrived and so Tuesday I called them and it's not there. Wednesday I called them and it's there and they can install it on Friday...(not same day) When I mention the security issues, the trouble we have had and the PROMISE of same day install they said "yeah but we can't"... Friday comes (today) and they were supposed to be here at 9am. I cancelled everything to be home. At 9:12am, I get a call saying it's the wrong part...It is Win-Dor's mistake, and they will not be out. At this point I was really angry, they have no timeline and the worst part is that they pointed fingers at Win-Dor again and said how bad of a company they are. The bottom line is that neither of them cared about our issue or about urgency to fix it.
The way they have handled this, the lies, the broken promises and the clear fact that they don't care at all is just mind blowing. I own a business and I am in the business of customer service and this is not how I treat my customers...if I did I would not be in business. I have also asked several times for the owner or manager to reach out to me and NOTHING. Too many chances to make this right with no action.
I am not sure if there are new owners or what but the service and quality we used to love is absolutely not there anymore. The really sad part is that over the years, I have now referred them multiple times which resulted in thousands in revenue. No more.
Go with a company that cares about their customers, stands behind their work and doesn't point fingers when something goes wrong. Also, apparently Win-Dor is not the best product either if it fails 2 years in...
Review update; the owner of TMC reached out and took ownership and accountability for the entire thing. He sent the Operations manager to get the part and come that day to fix things. While it should not take this much to see action taken, I appreciate the companies effort and apology a great deal.
Sales/ordering process in the store and in home with Brandon was clear and easy... knowledgeable people; pricing seemed fair and I'll try to remember to update when the windows and doors are installed.

My wife and I purchased new windows and sliding glass door from TMC in March 2026 to replace decades-old windows and doors. It took months longer than expected to get an install date and communication should have been better (hence only 4 stars), but, in the end, we are very happy with the results. All the areas of our home that have new glass are SO much cooler than rooms that still have older windows. This has been especially noticeable over the last few very hot days where the temperature has been in the mid-90s. We’re all very very pleased with the our new windows and sliding glass door!
