  My wife and I were searching for a builder to complete our plans for two 1200 sq ft ADU's in San Diego. Luckily, we had the good fortune of finding Tony Holder and Evan McFadden of 1st Choice construction. We sat and discussed every aspect of a new build - budget management, schedules, subcontractor payments, management fees, delays, inspections, etc. We understood each other perfectly and it was like working with both a friend and a business partner. One of his many attributes is his accessibility! When I needed to speak with him, he was available! If he couldnt speak, he would text and get back to me promptly. He and his crew stayed on top of the schedule and they were accessible too. If you are like me and you have a lot of questions, ("What happens if X happens? If the inspection fails, whats plan B? What if the concrete guy is late?") you will appreciate someone like Tony, who brings solutions to every possible problem. For example, my project did not have landscape or leveling plans. Tony's guys came up with a cost -effective and beautiful design that fit perfectly to the overall aesthetic! I was able to trust his judgment, and know he was making the right decisions to meet our deadlines. As the build progressed to completion, it felt fantastic to know we made the right choice, working with 1st Choice! Attached are pictures of the exterior and one of the units. Every day I drive past, or stop in to speak with a tenant, I'm filled with pride knowing this beautiful structure is ours, and 1st Choice bought it to life!

  After considering several contractors, I chose 1st Choice Design & Development because from my very first meeting with Nicole and Tony Holder, they were honest about what they would do—and they delivered. Now I’m standing inside the home they built for me, and I couldn’t be happier. The open floor plan, the kitchen design, the insulation, the fencing, the sliding glass doors, and the added outdoor spaces have completely transformed how I live. Every detail exceeded my expectations. I want to thank the entire team, especially William Robinson-Smith for staying on top of the project and making sure everything got done, Tony Holder for his vision, and Nicole for all of her support. If you’re looking to build a home, I highly recommend 1st Choice Design & Development.

  Im more than satisfied with the job done by Andrew and his crew. If there was a delay in work, it was my fault because i insisted on ordering supplies myself in the pursuit to save money. If i had the opportunity to go back in time, i would let the professionals take care of ordering the products. My floors are so beautiful and it was done in such a quick manner. All the workers are trustworthy and very communicative. Its the best experience i’ve ever had with contractors.

  Very good service from these folks. The prices were competitive and I was very pleased with the quality of work performed. The contractors when out of their way to give me more than I asked for and had no issue making deviations from the original plans that we had agreed upon. I appreciate the services that Tony, Ed and their crews gave and the end product was more than I had hoped for; a job well done. I do plan on using these folks for additional projects that I have planned in the near future.

  Thank god I found this company! 1st Choice Solar is the way to go. I spent months looking for the right company to do my solar and some remodeling around my house. My issue was that I had a hard time trusting any of these companies because of my experiences in the past. Tony helped me out and gave me peace of mind. He was very detailed and informative. He gave me everything I asked for. He was upfront about everything and didn't screw me over with any hidden fees. He did what he promised and some more. I definitely will be coming back to Tony for any more home remodeling. As for my solar, It's working great and it didn't do any damage to my roof, which I was worried about. Tony and his team walked me through the entire process and well educated me about my solar and how it works. Any questions or issues I have, Tony is quick to get back to me and resolve any discrepancies. I can tell he's dedicated to his business. Great Guy.
