Four weeks ago our dog suffered a serious and devastating injury in our backyard. One of the fence wires installed by Fence Factory was protruding, which caused the injury. As a result, our dog required emergency treatment and ultimately had his eye surgically removed last week. Actually, several of the fence wires installed were protruding. This situation has been heartbreaking and extremely difficult for our family. We initially reached out to John (Supervisor from FF) and later spoke with Seth. (Manager from FF). During those conversations, both indicated verbally that the company would help with the resulting expenses. However, we received an email from Seth 2/9 stating that they will not assist with any of the veterinary or related costs. This is concerning and contradicts what we were told directly. We emailed and called the owner, Steve Bennett, he will not call or email back. I have tried to resolve this matter with the company.
- Fence Factory installed the fencing.
- We are not fencing experts and relied on their professional installation. John had mentioned it's not our problem, we don't manufacture the fencing, only install it. Exactly, they install it!
- Their website states that your fencing is designed to keep pets safe.
- Their website also states that staff attend weekly safety meetings.
- The wire that caused the injury was part of their installation. They stated it was our job to inspect the fencing, we are not fencing experts, they are.
- Comments made during this process from the company, including remarks about dogs’ lifespans, were extremely upsetting given the circumstances.
- They never "fixed" the fencing, we had to do it in order to keep the animals safe.
