Mariposa Landfill, Composting and Recycling Center

The Mariposa County Solid Waste and Recycling Division is responsible for managing the collection, disposal, and recycling of solid waste throughout Mariposa County. The Division operates the Mariposa County Landfill and multiple transfer stations. Key functions include residential and commercial waste disposal, recycling programs, CRV Buyback Center, green waste diversion, and universal and household hazardous waste management. The Division is committed to promoting sustainability through responsible resource management, compliance with state and federal waste regulations, and continuous improvement of local waste infrastructure and services.
