After months of flickering lights and irritating shortages, we woke up on a Saturday morning to find that none of our light switches worked and only random outlets had power.
I was able to connect with the Powell team around 8 in the morning and they put me on schedule for 2 to 5 p.m. the same afternoon.
Mariano arrived promptly at two and within about 20 minutes had discovered that the main breaker at the meter and into the house needed replaced. Within an hour from there he had me turning on all the lights in the house and we were better than EVER !!
Mariano was not only professional and cordial, but was very easy to talk to and converse with. So efficient.
We appreciate the excellent level of service Powell Electric provided us today. Thank you.
Then, the following Wednesday, Adrian, handled our follow up appointment to permanently handle the problem. Nothing but polite and professionalism from the whole Powell Team !!!

I was required by a pre-sale city inspection to have a GFCI plug installed in my small laundry closet. I paid Powell $99 to come out and assess the situation. The tech told me that I needed to have a new breaker installed, knock holes in the wall for a rewire, a 1/2 to full day process...$3000! When what I only needed, as I stated was a GFCI outlet installed. Granted the city was making me pull a permit. I called another electrician, still paid them more than I thought was fair (but way less than a 1/3 of this price, it really shouldn't have cost anymore than $500, I mean if i didn't have to have the permit, this chick could have made the replacement herself). No holes, no new breaker, no rewiring, a simple gfci switchplate install in 30 minutes! The inspector came out, signed off on the work and I'm good to go. I did give Powell Electric the opportunity to right their wrong but they chose to ignore me. I called to speak to a supervisor and told them that the technician neglected to plug my machines back in and turn the breaker back on, granted I know how to do this, but I think for $99 they can at least finish the job. And with this the person on the phone said under his breath "I think I know why he didn't plug them back in". (why?!?!?!) I spoke to two people on that call, but never a supervisor, he took my number and told me he would have someone call me the next week, they chose to have the technician that quoted me that outrageous price call me. I still haven't spoken to a supervisor. I know I'm only 1 in a sea of customers, but I am so tired of having to fight for what is fair and just in the service industry. I am all about paying for service, but please don't take advantage.

I had an excellent experience with Powell Electric from start to finish. Their customer service was exceptional—professional, courteous, responsive, and very accommodating to my schedule.
What impressed me most was their communication. They kept me updated regarding the electrician’s ETA, so I always knew when to expect their arrival. That level of communication and consideration made the entire process smooth and stress-free.
It’s refreshing to work with a company that truly values its customers and understands the importance of reliability, communication, and great service. I highly recommend Powell Electric to anyone looking for dependable electrical services and outstanding customer care.
Five stars all around! I would definitely use Powell Electric again.

Made an appt on Tuesday to address a wiring problem in one circuit in our house. Powell was able to get an electrician (Mariano) to my house on the next day. I was convinced the problem was in the ceiling where a plumber had done work requiring cutting holes in the ceiling drywall. But the electrician was taking his time checking all the switches and sockets. I was thinking he was just acting diligent. That was until he found the problem in a socket that I would have sworn up and down was nowhere near the problem. Loose screw on a receptacle. The dude's diligence was based on experience and he wasn't going to make a big job cutting holes in the drywall and running a wire, when the real solution requiring tightening a screw connecting a wire to a receptacle. Really have to take my hat off to the man.
Bottom line: Electrician got here a day after I called. He spent 40 minutes or so checking things his experience told him were likely to be the problem. Found it and fixed it. Didn't make a big job out of a simple repair because he took the time to thoroughly investigate.
If ever I need electrical work done in the house again, I'm gonna call Powell.

Every time we charged our car in the normal plug in the garage and used other plugs in our condo we blew a breaker. Called Powell Electric, they arrived and said our breaker box was arching and could start a fire, needed a new breaker box. I told technician to increase voltage so we wouldn’t trip the breaker. $4000 later we had new box. Two days later on Friday about 4:45 PM blew breaker. No power in entire condo, called Powell, was told they couldn’t come until the next morning. I guess they don’t think having no power for 15 hours is a big deal. Called another electrician, he said we blew main breaker outside our condo, got security to unlock the box (gated community) reset the breaker and got our power back. Didn’t get much for my $4000.
