  One star for the pricing, not the people. Let me be clear up front: Manuel, who came out to our Folsom home, was punctual, professional, and genuinely great to work with — he personally deserves 5 stars and any company would be lucky to have him. The problem is Huft's pricing, which was outrageous. We received three written estimates for water filtration: • $2,422 for a single under-sink reverse osmosis system — comparable NSF-certified 5-stage RO units retail for $300–$550. • $6,272 for a 3-stage iSpring whole-house carbon filter plus that same RO. The iSpring unit they quoted retails for around $450. • $10,380 for a HALO 5 bundle, with the HALO 5 alone priced at $8,208. For perspective: another licensed local company installed a catalytic carbon tank system (arguably better equipment — no annual cartridge replacements) PLUS a 5-stage NSF-certified RO, all labor and tax included, for $2,862 total. Less than half of Huft's mid-tier quote for the same scope of work. If you get a Huft water treatment estimate, look up the exact equipment model numbers online before signing anything. Nice people, but the markup made the whole visit a waste of time.

  Been customer for years and they were decent in the beginning but my last experience was bad. The last service was 3 ish years ago. They replaced cap, condenser motor and thermostat. I suspect not all of these were needed but I did it anyways because they were good to me previously. That being said I did notice the price did go up significantly from before as this was a very expensive repair. Recently my AC was blowing warm and I called a different company. The cap was bad and the consenser motor again. The technician checked and i was supposed to have a 5mfd cap installed for the blower motor but I had a 7.5 installed... that likely caused the brand new blower motor to burn out. I paid Huft 1k for a blower motor and cap and it only lasted 3 years. I suspect the short life is related to the 50% oversized cap.

  Had Manny from Huff home services replace our garbage disposal that was leaking extremely professional very knowledged with information He was also very patient in explaining details about the work he was doing and how to keep our garbage disposal not only working well, but smelling well as a customer when I was more pleased with was the professionalism and kindness that I felt with Manny I would highly recommend this young man no questions asked for future, plumbing issues or problems

  Huft continues to provide excellent service for our house whenever an issue or need pops up. On our most recent issue a valve for our Freon stopped working and needed replacement at the same time as a fuse had tripped due to over stress from the fan trying to cool. They were quick to come out, get the system working during a heatwave, and then responded back out quickly again once the part needed to fully repair was made available.

  When your A/C goes out during a heatwave, finding the right HVAC company moves to the top of your priority list. I reached out to a few people I trust for recommendations, and one name kept coming up: Brian Huft and the team at HUFT HOME SERVICES. Now I understand why. From the first phone call, the experience was smooth and professional. Their technician, Austin (pictured below), took the time to explain exactly what had gone wrong, answered every question I had, and recommended only the repairs that were actually needed. I appreciated the straightforward approach. No pressure. No unnecessary recommendations. Just honest advice, fair pricing, and quality work. Before long, our A/C was back up and running, and our house was comfortable again. Great customer service creates loyal customers, and this experience did exactly that. If you're anywhere from Chico to Tracy, Auburn to Antioch, and need HVAC service, I highly recommend Huft Home Services. They also offer plumbing and Electrical services, making them a great local resource to have in your contacts. Thank you to Brian, Austin, and the entire Huft team for taking such great care of us.
