  Our family needed a roofing company we could trust to replace our parents Castro Valley home's roof. Nothing is standard about this home including a massive one-of-a-kind full custom multi-level roof that included: mounted electrical solar panels, and separate roof mounted pool solar collector panels, 2 chimneys, a flattop roof section with adjustable skylights that need to be replaced. We also needed an outbuilding's flattop roof and skylights replaced. We chose Wonderlin Roofing Systems for the following reasons * Extensive expertise * Long history in the Castro Valley area * Excellent references * Willing to work with clients Grover Wonderlin and his office Manager Marianne worked with us throughout the entire process and were always polite, knowledgeable, answering our questions, provided excellent advice. Before starting the tear-off, they covered the pool with the largest tarp I have ever seen. I was impressed with their clean-up, walking around the home twice checking for nails and anything that might have been missed. The crew inspected the exposed roof structure, repairing water damage, and recommended adding a chimney cricket to reduce the potential for water damage in the future. The crew was on site the day the roofing materials were delivered, to setup and ensure the roof was protected in case of rain. I was impressed with the quality of their work and how quickly they completed the job in just a few days. Each day the crew cleaned up, and on the final day thoroughly checked the entire property for nails or anything that might have been missed. Grover's knowledge and advice for the vendor reinstalling the electrical solar panels was invaluable and greatly appreciated.   Our first experience with Wonderlin Roofing Systems was in February 2025 when we called on them to repair a leak after a heavy rain storm. The crew made an excellent repair and it held up just fine throughout the rest of that rainy season and the next. When the time came to do the roof replacement, we didn’t hesitate to call them for a consultation. With Grover Wonderlin’s extensive background in roofing systems and excellent reputation for quality roof installations all around the bay area we felt very confident in choosing them to do our work. Grover patiently worked with us to provide an understanding of the available roofing systems, warranties and current industry regulations. The whole process was smooth, from setting the start date through completion of the work. The office staff was great to work with too; always keeping us updated on progress and being available to answer our questions. And a huge shout-out to the roof installation crew, who did an outstanding job!! The results are professional and very impressive. Also want to mention that Grover and crew installed a sun tunnel in our master bath sink area; something I had been wanting to do for many years! I’m loving all the natural daylight streaming into the room now. Many thanks to Wonderlin Roofing for a job well done!!

  We had our entire roof replaced. This was a 5 star service from the time of getting the quote to them finishing the job. Grover came out and did the estimate. He was thorough and answered all my questions. The quote we received had all the detail and was much more comprehensive versus other quotes I received. Matt and the crew showed up today and worked very efficiently and completed the roof install in one day. Matt was very professional and answered all my questions. Our roof looks great! They cleaned up everything. I would highly recommend Wonderlin and best of all they were a local company for me. Great experience overall. Thanks Wonderlin!!!
