These folks came out very quickly and diagnosed my faults and came up with a clear and accurate estimate and acted upon it immediately upon my acceptance. Expensive, Yes, but seems to be quality equipment and expert installation.

Cordell had his diagnosis of the well problem in under 50 minutes. He thoroughly checked voltages from the well pump to the holding tank. Come to find out, it was a seized up submersion pump in the holding tank. Lowes had one, I installed it, and our water is flowing freely!

We woke up to no water and so I called J&J right away. They were super responsive and stayed true to all of their time estimates. They came out within a couple of hours and had our water back up and running by dinner. Everyone was super professional. They gave me several options and were upfront about the pricing. Will definitely call again if needed.
Based on our experience, the typical well pump operates effectively for six to ten years or longer, influenced by factors such as water quality, frequency of use, and regular maintenance. J&J Pumps, Inc offers professional well pump replacement and installation services once your pump has reached the end of its operational life.
What causes low water pressure in a well system?
Low water pressure in a well system can result from several factors, including a failing pump, clogged filters or pipes, a waterlogged pressure tank, or issues with the pressure switch. Our team can diagnose the cause and provide appropriate solutions to restore proper water pressure.
Can I install a well pump myself?
We do not recommend self-installation of well pumps. The process demands specialized expertise and professional equipment. Our team provides expert well pump installation and water pump replacement services to guarantee correct setup and reliable operation.
What's the difference between a jet pump and a submersible pump?
Jet pumps are positioned above ground level, whereas submersible pumps are placed directly inside the well. We provide installation, maintenance, and expert water pump replacement services for both jet pumps and submersible pumps, customized to meet the requirements of your particular well system.
What should I do if my well runs dry?
If your water supply stops, many assume the well has depleted, but this is seldom accurate. Typically, the problem stems from a deteriorating pump, blocked pipes, or mechanical failures. We recommend contacting a well professional immediately upon noticing any issues. J&J Pumps provides emergency services including water pump replacement, comprehensive diagnostics, and pump lowering to restore your water supply quickly.
What's a constant pressure system?
A constant pressure system delivers steady water pressure throughout your home, independent of the number of fixtures operating simultaneously. We provide installation, maintenance, and water pump replacement services for constant pressure systems to enhance water pressure consistency and overall reliability.
What's a variable speed pump?
A variable speed pump adjusts its operation speed based on water demand, providing energy efficiency and consistent pressure. This technology reduces wear on the system and lowers operating costs. We offer installation, service, and water pump replacement for variable speed pump systems.
How do I know if I need a new well?
Indicators that you may require a new well include ongoing water quality problems, inadequate water supply, or a well that has exceeded its anticipated lifespan of 30 to 50 years based on our experience. We conduct thorough well assessment services and can advise whether water pump replacement or a new well installation is the appropriate solution.
How do I know if my pressure tank bladder has failed?
Common indicators of pressure tank bladder failure include frequent pump cycling, water discharge from the air fill valve, or the tank feeling unusually heavy. We offer pressure tank inspections, pump performance diagnostics, and water pump replacement services when necessary to identify and address these concerns.
How often should I replace my well's pressure tank?
The replacement timeline varies based on several factors. According to World Water Reserve, a well-maintained and properly serviced pressure tank typically lasts between 10 and 15 years depending on construction quality, though some units may require earlier replacement due to leaks or pressure loss. We provide inspection, maintenance, and replacement services for pressure tanks, along with water pump replacement for associated pump systems to maintain optimal performance.
What is the typical lifespan of a well pump and do you provide replacement services?
Most well pumps last 6-10 years or more depending on usage and maintenance. We provide well pump replacement and installation services when needed.
What are common causes of low water pressure in a well system?
Low water pressure can be caused by a failing pump, clogged pipes, a waterlogged pressure tank, or a faulty pressure switch. We offer diagnostics and repair services to fix these issues.
Can customers install a well pump by themselves?
Installation requires specialized knowledge and equipment, so it's not recommended to do it yourself. Our professional installation services ensure proper setup and function.
What is the difference between a jet pump and a submersible pump?
Jet pumps are above ground; submersible pumps are installed inside the well. We install and maintain both types tailored to your well system.
What should I do if my well runs dry or I experience sudden water issues?
Contact a well professional immediately. Issues are often due to pump or pipe problems rather than the well itself. We offer emergency diagnostics, lowering, and replacement services.
What are your regular business hours and do you provide emergency services?
We are open Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM and closed on weekends. 24/7 emergency service is available for urgent needs.
