  Nice lady I spoke with to set up an appointment. However the plumber they sent out clearly needs some training in repairing faucets. Used a channelock pliers to unscrew handle valves and badly scratched up my oil rubbed bronze faucet. Then didn’t know how to remove stuck valves. Charged me $165 and left with the faucet still leaking. I disassembled the valves myself and got 1/4” o.d. o-rings from Home Depot and repaired the faucet. No more leaks. Should have done that in the first place. Sorry I called a “professional” plumber.

  I scheduled an appointment to get an estimate for a tankless water heater installation, hoping to take advantage of the SoCalGas rebate. Instead, I was quoted $9,000–$12,000, which felt extremely overpriced. The representative acted more like a pushy salesperson than a technician. He kept trying to upsell me on services I never asked about, including a water softener upgrade (~$6,000) and a $1200 repair for a 1-inch pipe leak.

  My Mom’s Water Softner stopped working and needed to be replaced. Looked up Barker & Sons online. I was impressed with their reviews and the fact that they were Family Owned and operated for over 30yrs. I called and was impressed by the courtesy and respect that each person conveyed over the phone. The Plumbing Expert that came to my Mom’s home couldn’t have been nicer or more respectful. His name was Bo, and he said he loved his job and it showed! He explained everything to my Mom and I fully. My Mom is 93, still VERY sharp, but he was patient and kind. He explained what he was going to do, and how long it would take. He did a fabulous job, cleaned up everything before he left and was done in a few hours. All I can say is WOW! It’s so seldom nowadays to get excellent customer service. Bo and Barker & Sons hit it out of the park! Thank you! Other companies should be looking to you as example of how to treat customers right. Thank you!

  We had Corey come out and fix a leak in our bathroom. He was incredibly professional. What I liked the most was that he went step by step telling us what he was going to do and what the issues were. He was very transparent about what he was going to be charged as well. He offered us several "stopping" point to make our own informed decisions which I really respect. I feel like other companies would have just slapped us with a heavy charge and not really explained it in detail. Thank you Corey and Barker & Sons!

  RB was candid, thorough, and patient. He also showed integrity during the entire process. He discussed the issue and repair and quickly and digitally provided my requested estimates for other projects. I also appreciate he offered a 1-month warranty on labor and a 2-month warranty on parts because the leak persisted within the week he repaired it. He is scheduled to return on Tuesday, June 30 to, hopefully, complete the repair, this time. Originally, I gave RB a 5-star review, but I just changed it to a 4-star review due to the ongoing leak. RB never showed to our 7 pm appointment. The company apologized for not communicating his delay and said he would visit after his current plumbing job. At 8:30 pm, I still did not receive a visit or communication, so I called the company. I was informed the service would call me at 7 am on Wednesday, July 1. At 7:45 am, the service did not call, so I called. The company said RB would visit the same morning to finish the job, but he would call me with 30 minutes notice. The company called me later that same morning to inform me RB would not visit until 1-2 pm. At this point I felt frustrated because I was continuously being delayed and without communication. I had to constantly chase the company and finally candidly inform them I would reduce my Google review to 1 and file a BBB complaint if a plumber did not show to my home to finish the job they started to which I already paid. At that point, the company said a manager would visit my home this morning to finish the job. Greg, the manager, corrected RB's work and explained the issue. He was professional and provided details about the issue and the manner in which he repaired it. I still feel concerned that the leak has not been 100% repaired, but I do appreciate the plumber's professionalism. The call center needs major improvement in communication with customers.
