  This is the second time I have used Barker and Sons for plumbing issues in our home and I highly recommend their services. I had an issue with a leaking pipe in my kitchen the first time and one in my bathroom. Bo did a fantastic job taking care of it. When I have a problem, I will be calling them again, because I’m confident that whatever issue is going on in our home, their technicians will resolve it. I can count on them to call me back immediately to discuss and set up appointments, they are so on top of it. Thank you Barker and Sons for being so reliable and getting the job done professionally and complete the first time around.

  While I think expensive for a water heater repair, the work was top notch and professional. Most importantly done quickly. Corey was out at 3, diagnosed and went back to his shop in Orange for parts, and still had the water heater repaired by 530. Service , in this case, outweighed cost. There is an addendum to this review. The day after the repair of the water heater, it failed again. No hot water. As it was in the evening I used the contact option on the website to let the company know what happened. At 6:54 the next morning, Tina called and said Corey would be at the shop at 930am and we would be his first stop, and would that be ok. I said absolutely. At 845, Corey is at the house. He’s got the issue identified in a half hour, which was a brand new part that was bad from the manufacturer, goes back to the plumbing supply, and is back and finishes installing the new part by 10:30. Hot water again. While I said initially, that I thought the repair was expensive, I think that was probably because I hadn’t had a water heater since 2012. So I shouldn’t be shocked as it’s now the mainstream and the rate was competitive. My wife and I have Barker and Sons in our phones under ‘Plumber’ now. You’re simply not going to find better service. Thanks to Corey and staff for all they did. We will use them for all of our future plumbing needs.

  Corey & Ricky from Barker & Son’s came and successfully completed their identification and repair of a leak source at my house. They were both extremely knowledgeable about their respective areas of expertise and worked together efficiently and effectively to address the work they needed to complete. Both of them walked me through what they were doing, what they found along with options to address the problems that were identified. Based on an agreed to courses of action, they completed their work. The problem was more extensive than what I had expected and they traced the problem to a root cause that would have manifested itself in potential future plumbing issues. In addition, they walked me through future proofing our house from potential floods and leaks. Based on my experience in our house (multiple plumbing problems in the past), I selected an option that would address our long term needs. I would recommend Barker & Sons for your plumbing and related needs.

  I had a mysterious leak problem that showed water coming from under the house into the backyard. I had asked two other high rated plumbers to come and identify the cause of the leak and none could do it. But Orlando, the technician from Barker and Sons Plumbing, after checking the place thoroughly, determined that water coming into the backyard was due to the air conditioning condensation! He verified that by running the AC and showing the small flow of water! He spent two hours doing this investigation. Furthermore, two of the senior plumbing technicians from Barker and Sons Plumbing stopped by to verify the investigation and results. All of that with no charge to me. They gave me detailed recommendations and options for fixing the issue. I am very grateful to Orlando, and to Barker and Sons Plumbing. Shahram

  We’ve used Barker & Sons in the past and they have been nothing but great to us. I’m not sure who was helping us on the phone side during this process, but a group of women (including Linda) and Jim were great to us. They were understanding, especially when it came to payment time. Even better was the kindness and professional service from the boots on the ground. Dylan R was first sent to our house to address our backed-up kitchen sink. He assessed the situation and successfully snaked our kitchen drain. He told us we could get a camera through our drains that coming week since there were no camera guys working Sunday. We had a previous root intrusion we chose to jet a year ago that we wanted to check on, so we accepted. A few days later, the camera revealed the issue had gotten way worse. We had probably seven root intrusions up and down our main sewer line. We had to decide whether to jet them again or take care of them the way we should have initially. Peter D, who was also great to us, was kind and worked with us well. He quoted us on inserting a liner in our main sewer pipe as a permanent solution. We were quoted about $23k, probably on the more expensive side, but accepted because we took Barker & Sons’ reputation into consideration. Once they got to work the next morning, they discovered that our pipe leading to the city sewers not only had root intrusions but was broken and had been leaking sludge for quite some time. It was also discovered that when the previous owners removed an apple tree in the center of our lawn, they repaired a pipe with questionable material and glue and changed it from a straight shot to a box-like shape. Or maybe they rerouted it around the tree so they could plant the apple tree to begin with. Either way, the liner couldn’t go through the curved pipe, so that whole section had to be replaced. Because of this unforeseen circumstance, we had to decide whether to fix all of it, including the new findings, or just parts. Peter and Tanner were on site and told us the findings increased our quote by $10k to $33k total. The first number was already a gut shot, so the new number was tragic for us. We took comfort knowing B&S had been around for 40+ years, doesn’t outsource resources, and could fulfill their 20+ year warranty. They did very good work and were accommodating of our requests throughout the job. They ended up fixing everything and sent us videos and photos throughout the process. My only gripe was that our front lawn looked like it had been almost entirely dug up. A few guys stayed after hours to do the best they could putting the grass back, but they didn’t have enough extra dirt. We let the office know, and they sent someone out with extra dirt the next day, but it looked questionably the same. Our lawn still has hills and valleys when it was previously flat. I was also a little let down that we did not get to see the completed work internally when it was finished. We would have liked a camera inspection to check the new liner and pipe. The workers on the job (Tanner, Peter, Julio, Ricardo and others) were very nice to work with and explained things whenever we got confused, which was helpful. We were especially grateful for Dylan R. Dylan was awesome and basically saw the whole thing through from start to finish—from snaking the kitchen drain to when the pipes were done (minus his off days)—and checked in on us. He and another worker, on different days, stayed overtime to try their best to put the grass back with the tools they had, and we greatly appreciated their effort and labor. Anytime we needed an explanation, Dylan was willing to talk to us, hear us out, and give his advice and point of view, which we greatly appreciated. He was honest, kind, and a very hard worker. He was always smiling and in a great mood despite the 100-degree weather and being deep in mud. He did an amazing job, and we hope when we need assistance again, he is the one who comes to help us!
