Marcus was a consummate professional and incredibly personable. It is incredibly rare to meet such a professional company that covers all bases, precautions, and questionss. Notified me that they were coming the day before, and thirty minutes before arrival. I received an email, text and call thirty minutes before, absolutely no way you will be taken by surprise by your appointment. I like that there are small quality of life features such as details about your technician, and who they are as an individual (likes sports, likes to travel, etc). You can also make special requests such as getting a smaller/lighter technician in case you have a weaker roof. Fair pricing, quotes on all necessities, presents add-ons but doesn't push on it, only shows they are available. Quick work, only an hour and a half to inspect entire AC unit, external unit and internal, ducts, and vents with high quality detailed pictures of everything. Marcus explained all pictures, explained age of AC units and parts and affect on efficiency, spoke about warranties, talked about parts that could fail and parts not to worry about, talked about safety and energy efficiency, gave tips on self maintenance. This was my first interactions with riteway, I heard about them through online reviews, I am beyond impressed.

Five Stars to the Rite Way team for replacing our two roof mounted heat pump systems and aceing a challenging job! Program Manager Brandon Goza did a super job scoping the project, helping us to secure financing and getting it going in an amazingly short time. He always always responsive tdoo our questions and needs as they arose and quickly addressed the problmes. Surveyors Shawn Remier and Dario did the layout work and completely redesigned an old duct system that was installed backwards, allowing the new heat pumps to work at peak efficiencies Arthur Mejias leading a crew including his partner Henry, Jesus Canedo and several others did a tremendous job installing the two rooftop HVAC systems replacing ones that could no longer keep up with our Tucson climate. As it turned out, the old systems in this old house held some wonky surprises that put the Rite Way crew’s professional experience-- and stamina—to the test. They worked long hours over several days in heat rocketing past 100 degrees. With such an old home, I’ve dealt with a lot of our local contractors and trade people, and I think that we have the best there are right here in Tucson. Rite Way belongs at the top of that list.

We’ve had the pleasure of working with Marcus Knuass from Rite Way Heating & Cooling for several years, as he has serviced multiple HVAC units at my workplace. Marcus has always been knowledgeable, honest, and someone I completely trust. When he recently came out to service our home A/C, he explained the age and condition of our system and discussed our options without any pressure. Based on his recommendation, we met with Eric, whom I also know through work. Eric took the time to explain all of our options, answered our questions, and helped us choose the best solution for our home and budget. We decided on a new heat pump for our home and a mini-split system for our garage. Sean came out to measure and was very courteous and answered questions we had. Damion and Reyes installed the heat pump, while Steven and Xavier installed the mini-split. Both crews were courteous, professional, and kept us informed throughout the installation process. Since it was an especially hot day, they even provided a portable A/C unit to keep our home comfortable while they worked—a thoughtful touch that was greatly appreciated. From the initial service call through the final installation, everyone at Rite Way was knowledgeable, honest, and committed to outstanding customer service. We are extremely happy with the quality of the work and highly recommend Rite Way Heating & Cooling.

I cannot say enough great things about Rite Way A/C and the entire team that helped with our HVAC replacement. From the initial consultation to the final installation, the experience was outstanding. A special thank you to Dominick, our sales representative, who was incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and patient throughout the entire process. Replacing an HVAC system is a major investment, and Dominick took the time to thoroughly explain our options, answer every question, and ensure we felt comfortable and informed every step of the way. There was never any pressure—just honest guidance and excellent customer service. I also want to recognize Arthur and Henry, who completed the installation. Their workmanship, professionalism, and attention to detail were exceptional. They arrived on time, worked efficiently, and took the time to explain what they were doing throughout the installation. They answered additional questions as they came up, walked me through the new system, and made sure everything was working properly before they left. It’s clear they take pride in their work and genuinely care about their customers. What stood out most about everyone at Rite Way was their willingness to educate us throughout the process. Whether it was discussing system options, explaining the installation, reviewing the thermostat, or addressing ductwork repairs, every team member took the time to make sure we understood exactly what was happening and why. The entire experience was smooth, professional, and stress-free. If you’re looking for a company that values customer service, quality workmanship, and honest communication, I highly recommend Rite Way. Thank you, Dominick, Arthur, Henry, and the entire Rite Way team for making this such a positive experience!

Where to start. My house was built in 2015. I’ve been living in it since 2017. The AC has worked perfectly since we’ve been here. It’s never needed anything and the house has stayed 72 degrees with no issue. We keep it set on 70-72 and have not one time ever set the AC temp in the 60s. On Monday my wife saw a YouTube add for a $35 AC tune up. She said maybe we should get this since our AC has never had a “tune up” or any sort of cleaning. I said sure. I guess it could use a tune up after 8 years. Little did I know. If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it right? Well. Wednesday a tech came out. He said he would look around in the attic then outside at the AC unit to make sure everything is running properly. I assured him it was. We just wanted the said tune up/cleaning. After 10 minutes in the attic he went outside and hooked up his gear to the unit. He came inside 10 minutes later and said I have some bad news. There’s an oil leak, the AC needs freon and a new capacitor. He shows me pictures and I don’t see a leak anywhere. I’m asking where is the oil it’s leaking? He says oh this discoloring is a sign of oil leak. If we don’t get these done the AC unit will fail soon. Me, Laughing on the inside, I asked what this would cost. He said for the repairs around $7k total. But if I was going to get those repairs it would be better to get a brand new unit for $11k. We went from a $35 tune up, to $11k on a brand new unit, in less than an hour. Obviously I said no thanks. He said at least let me change the capacitor because it’s failing and it’s a cheap repair. If it was failing why is my AC still working perfectly fine? He replaces the 20-80 capacitor and proceeds to tell me it’s $305. The part is $30 at Lowe’s and I’m mind blown he’s telling me this after the repair. He then says he can waive the $305 fee if we agree to just speak to a project manager the next day about our options with the failing AC. I said ok sure. Knowing my AC wasn’t failing and as soon as he left called to cancel the project manager appointment. I’m not spending $7k or $11k when the AC is not broken. Well, This morning on Saturday, just 3 nights after his lovely repair, our AC unit has completely crapped out. Will not blow cold air at all. It’s currently 84 degrees in my house with 3 small children and we are being forced to sleep somewhere else tonight. For the first time in 8+ years we have a real problem and it coincidentally occurs just days after a tech makes a repair that is allegedly going to “help” a problem that didn’t exist until he showed up? Right. I don’t believe in coincidences like this. This is my lesson to never schedule a cheap “tune up” or “free cleaning” from any company offering it. The second the tech put hands on our AC it was death sentence and he reiterated several times “this AC WILL fail soon”. Shady business model. I’m sure they build great new systems that work but please Avoid unless your appliances are 100% dead in the water already.
