  I honestly can’t recommend Ashton Woods after the experience I’ve had with their warranty department. I’ve been trying to get warranty repairs taken care of for over a year now. These were issues reported under warranty, and somehow I’m still having to constantly follow up just to get things finished. We’ve had contractors miss appointments, repairs left incomplete, repairs done incorrectly that we had to push back on, and stretches where communication basically stops. Things finally started moving again recently, but after we spoke up about some of the repairs not being done correctly, we’re back to having trouble getting responses and getting things handled. I understand warranty repairs can take time and scheduling contractors isn’t always easy, but over a year is ridiculous. I shouldn’t have to constantly call, email, and chase people down to get repairs completed on a home I bought brand new. The buying process was one thing, but the experience after closing has been completely different. If you’re thinking about buying an Ashton Woods home, I would definitely look into other homeowners’ experiences with their warranty department first. At this point I would not purchase another home from Ashton Woods or recommend them to someone else.
