  I would not recommend purchasing a home from Richmond American based on my experience. The sales team was quick to make promises and tell us what we wanted to hear during the buying process, but the experience changed dramatically after closing. Getting follow-up on warranty and repair items has been extremely frustrating. Communication is poor, responses are delayed or nonexistent, and it often takes multiple attempts just to get an update. Scheduling repairs has been equally disappointing. Trades have shown up at our home without any prior notification, while other scheduled appointments resulted in no-shows with no communication. On several occasions, we rearranged our schedules only to have contractors fail to appear. The most disappointing part of this experience is that many of the issues could have been avoided with better communication, accountability, and customer service. Purchasing a home is one of the largest investments most families will ever make, and homeowners should feel valued throughout the process—not like they are an inconvenience when asking questions or requesting updates. The home itself is nice, but the experience after closing has significantly diminished our overall satisfaction. Follow-up on repair and warranty items has been difficult, communication has been inconsistent, scheduled appointments have frequently resulted in no-shows, and trades have arrived without notice. This has created unnecessary frustration and wasted time. Unfortunately, the professionalism of the team has also been a major concern. Mike, the superintendent, often came across as dismissive and unprofessional. Simple questions regarding our home seemed to be treated as an annoyance rather than part of his responsibility to homeowners. Customers purchasing $700,000+ homes should expect respectful communication and a willingness to address concerns. Our experience with Brooks in the sales office was equally disappointing. Information and expectations that were communicated during the sales process often seemed to change after the purchase, leaving us feeling misled and frustrated. Rather than finding solutions or following through on commitments, communication frequently felt inconsistent and unprofessional. Overall, the team at Richmond American Asante has left us with the impression that customer service and homeowner satisfaction are not priorities. While we like the home itself, the experience surrounding the purchase, warranty process, and ongoing communication has been overwhelmingly negative. Based on our experience, we would not recommend Richmond American to friends or family and would strongly encourage the company to address the professionalism, communication, and accountability issues within this community.
