  Way Cool plumbing & HVAC sent over Vance the plumber to do my summertime checks on my hot water heater and the plumbing under the sinks, etc. He was very knowledgeable when I was asking him questions about issues due to scale build-up in my hot water heater. He showed me water results for my local area so you see what kind of harsh chemicals are in our water (bad for pets especially)…he wasn’t being a “salesman,” just informative and I appreciated that!

  Had such a great experience with Way Cool Plumbing & Air! As someone who loves supporting local family owned businesses, I really appreciated how kind, professional, and knowledgeable the team was. They were on time, answered all of our questions, and made sure everything was taken care of before they left.   Services our HVAC and flushed our water heater which was great. Asked them for a quote on replacing a faucet in our bathroom that was leaking. Guy said it was an extremely difficult multi-hour job and would “give me a deal at $100ish an hour, totally $412” and he would throw in the water heater flush for free (I didn’t know that it was already free until I told my wife what he said). I paid 50% deposit on it and someone came out when scheduled and replaced it in 20 minutes. I was so shocked that I asked if there was anything that could be done with the price given how much fear selling happened to get me to accept the estimate. The guy asked the owner and the owner said the price was the price, too bad so sad. Then they charged me the total $412 even though I paid a 50% deposit of $206. Just run far and fast if these guys come to your door. Very sneaky salesmen workers

  BEWARE Wladimir Valencia and Mo Travis FRAUD. Way Cool technician Wladimir Valencia came to my house in Scottsdale to check a heat pump that was not producing cool air. He told me that the refrigerant had leaked out, and it would cost about $10,000 to replace the R-22 refrigerant. Wladimir returned the next day with his supervisor Mo Travis and they tried to sell me a new American Standard 3 ton multistage 17.1 seer2 unit for the outrageous price of $22,194. After I showed them prices on Google AI, their price came down to $15,500. But it was all a scam. I called Action Air to get a second opinion and quote. Action Air found that the problem with the heat pump was just a bad relay which they replaced for $230. There was no refrigerant leak. The heat pump is now working fine with the new relay. DO NOT TRUST WAY COOL! I complained to Way Cool. I don't think they will fire Wladimir. They are more likely to give him a bonus because he is doing what they want him to do. They just don't want him to get caught red-handed. Wladimir told me that he requested to work on my heat pump because it had R-22 refrigerant. I now know why. A heat pump with R-22 refrigerant is a great opportunity to run a scam on the owner.

  I signed up for an AC tune up $49 and let me first outline this is not a tune up. It is an inspection. It is $49 per unit which is not mentioned prior. They were both very kind people but the operation screamed sketchy to me. They first thought my water heater was from 1992 but, I pointed out my house wasn't built until 2006. The second thing was he claimed my RO unit not working and told me not to drink the water because my filters needed changing immediately. I quickly told him we had it installed brand new a few days ago...he retested the water and realized he tested water too fast and he was inaccurate with initial pitch for my RO system. After being marketed to and asked to even call my husband who was working to choose a membership plan, I was then put on the spot to leave a positive review at checkout. It felt extremely uncomfortable. I am very scared as I am seeing many other reviews on different sources with people saying after their "tune up" their units had issues and needed repairs shortly after. Let me remind all...the tune up is not a tune up. It is an inspection. This is not a cleaning or anything a normal tune up would include. It is a marketing tactic to take your money, tell you everything that is wrong, and hope to gain your business. If that is all your looking for, the guys are nice but...know what you are getting into when you open that flyer in the mail.
