We’ve all had days that went bad to worse before. But today, my day went from bad to INCREDIBLE. We had our HVAC company out to do the normal maintenance. Was told there was a problem with the pressure and that we needed to replace the coils and coolant at a cost of $6100.00. The unit is only 7 years old, so that cost was all labor and coolant as the part is under warranty. I told them I was going to get a 2nd opinion. My wife had called and said that her hair dresser just had a guy come out recently and was magnificent. So I called Rusty’s Air Conditioning and Heating. I called them after 4pm and Richard arrived at my house within the hour. I explained the situation and he went out to check the pressure. He asked that I come with him. He then explained the unit was a bit low on coolant, but not serious. According to the specs on our unit, the pressure should be 10.3 with a plus or minus of 3. My unit read 7.7. So within standards. He added some coolant and all is well. I did sign up for their maintenance program because it is well within reason. So now I can say good bye to our old company as their service has changed drastically to the worse since they were bought out by a big company. Thank you Richard for your honesty and transparency in handling our concern.
I called Rusty's, after getting a high price for services from another company. And, first, there is no charge for them to come look at the project and quote for services. That sold me! After explaining my situation, and what services were quoted with another company, they let me know they would for sure best the prices! Sean came out. He's a very pleasant and friendly tech. He looked around, I showed him the quote I was given. And he thought the fact that another company was going to charge for a leak check, that was crazy. The "essentials" quote from the first company was about $1600. After checking my system, he determined most of the work quoted from the previous company was unnecessary, and backed it up with evidence. Showed me the numbers and proved it. There only work needed was an outside coil clean, which was still reasonable priced, about 1/2 the price quoted from the previous company!!!
Overall, I saved a ton of money, and was educated about my system.
Very happy, recommend them highly!!!

I wanted to share my great experience with Rusty’s. The two technicians, Blake and Claude, that arrived at my home were professional and courteous from the beginning. They put out a carpet and also put booties over their shoes. I was without air for 24 hours, so I was definitely a mess, but they quickly got to work and fixed the issue within minutes. They went above and beyond to help me and quickly. I’m so grateful. They were wonderful to work with and I am going to be referring anyone who needs A/C service to them. Also, Debbie in their office was great too! Thank you, Blake and Claude! You’re amazing humans.
Overall, a stellar experience with Rusty's AC, and I’d highly recommend asking for Richard specifically.
My system needed a full replacement, and Richard was onsite just two hours after I called. I'm a bit of a nerd and enjoy knowing the technical details; Richard was incredibly patient and took the time to walk me through the entire process, both on the ground and up at the air handler.
They might not offer the cheapest price in town, but Richard completely won me over with his direct, no-nonsense attitude and professionalism. The installation itself went great. We needed one small adjustment after the fact, and Richard came right back out and handled it - no questions asked. Excellent customer service is hard to find, but these guys nailed it.
Upon returning home I found my home's AC was not cooling my home. I called one of the big, heavily advertised AC companies and was told I had a non-functioning compressor and they recommended replacing the entire AC unit for a ridiculous, inflated cost of thousands of dollars. I then called Rusty's Air Conditioning around 8pm on a Friday for a second opinion. They sent a technician that same night for a free estimate. The technician/manager Sean arrived around 9pm and diagnosed the issue as just needing a repair, not a whole unit replacement. Sean replaced the dual capacitor for a fraction of the cost of a new unit as recommended by the previous AC company. By 10pm my AC unit was blowing cold air into my home again. Sean even replaced the missing screws that hold down the fan grill that the previous companies' technician removed and did not replace. I will now use Rusty's Air Conditioning going forward for AC service and repairs.
