  🚨 EMERGENCY HVAC SERVICE REQUEST — BRAND-NEW HOME I am formally notifying Starlight Homes of an emergency HVAC issue at my newly purchased home in Magma Ranch, Florence, Arizona. I closed on this approximately 24 hours ago for $360,000, and the air conditioning is not working. The home is brand new, and we have barely been in the home for 24 hours. This is an urgent health and safety concern because the Arizona temperature is extremely high, and a 65-year-old woman is currently affected by the lack of air conditioning. We have already made multiple attempts to obtain assistance, but the issue has not been resolved. I am requesting IMMEDIATE emergency HVAC service tonight, not a routine warranty appointment. Please provide me with: 1. An emergency service ticket/case number. 2. The name of the person handling this emergency. 3. The HVAC company/technician being dispatched. 4. The expected arrival time. 5. Written confirmation that this request has been escalated as an emergency. Please treat this message as formal written notice that the AC is not functioning and that immediate assistance is required. I am documenting all calls, messages, temperatures, and attempts to obtain assistance. Please respond immediately.

  ⭐ 1 STAR — $360,000 First Home and a Nightmare Within 24 Hours BUYER BEWARE — Think Twice Before Purchasing From Starlight Homes in Florence, Arizona. Buying my first home was supposed to be one of the happiest and most exciting moments of my life. Instead, less than 24 hours after taking ownership of my $360,000 home, I was already dealing with a major problem—and getting help felt nearly impossible. The AC was not working, and this happened during extreme Arizona heat, with temperatures reaching approximately 117°F. We had not even been in the house for 24 hours before discovering that the air conditioning was not working properly. This is a brand-new $360,000 home. I never imagined that I would take possession of my first home and immediately find myself without working AC. What makes this even more disturbing is that a 65-year-old woman was left in the home in extreme heat for hours while we repeatedly tried to get emergency assistance. We made multiple attempts to contact Starlight Homes and get emergency service, but we did not receive the immediate help we expected. In Arizona, leaving someone without AC in approximately 117° heat is not something that should be treated like a routine maintenance request. As of August 1 at 8:39 PM, it is currently 89° inside my home. This was supposed to be my first home and a major milestone in my life. Instead, before I had even had 24 hours to enjoy my new home, I was already stressed, frustrated, and worried about whether I could even safely stay in the house. For $360,000, I expected better. I expected a new home to have working essential systems, and I expected the builder to respond immediately when there was an emergency—especially in dangerous Arizona heat. Starlight Homes promotes a home-buying experience that is supposed to give buyers confidence and peace of mind. My experience was the opposite. A brand-new $360,000 home should not leave a first-time homeowner fighting for emergency help before they’ve even been in the house for 24 hours. I hope Starlight Homes takes this seriously and understands that customer service matters most when something goes wrong. Anyone can sell you a house. What matters is whether the company stands behind that house when you need them. First-time homebuyers deserve better than this. If you are considering buying from Starlight Homes in Florence, ask very specific questions about HVAC inspections, emergency after-hours service, warranty response times, and who will actually answer the phone when you have an urgent problem. This was supposed to be the beginning of my dream of homeownership. Instead, my $360,000 first home became a nightmare before I had even been there for 24 hours.

  In 2023 we put a warranty claim in because our AC system would not get below 82° in the afternoon both text came out and said system is working normal. It’s just hot outside. I challenged their opinion and they said Starlight Homes would not do anything if it was working too specification, which is 20° cooler than ambient temperature. That is completely unacceptable. We have a window in the front room but no longer opens. We had a crooked wall missing insulation fast-forward. We ended up replacing our entire HVAC system because our current one was undersized, and there was gaps in the air handler and the ductwork was kinked at 90° and more than one location that restricted airflow. We also found our system was undersized for our home Nichole at Starlite Homes no longer respond to messages or phone calls. Spoke with John the construction manager who has called back and has been helpful be so far no results. We have photos and videos of the faulty installation of our HVAC system. The company that installed the system is refusing to help but was willing to charge us $250 for a service call. The neighborhood is talking about the quality of our Homes and we will be making a lot of noise to get Starlight to do the right thing. We spent $12,500 to get our home that’s only 3yrs old to cool and heat properly.

  I would recommend to NOT buy with Starlight. We purchased our home last year in March 2023. Our first mistake was not hiring an independent inspector before or after closing. It's been over a year, and we've noticed a lot of quality mistakes by the builder. There's cracking in the baseboards and ceiling. Baseboards are already chipping due to low quaily products. Master bathroom toilet is already wobbling due to the poor caulking. Some caulking is actually missing between the floor and baseboard behind the master bathroom toilet. Door knobs are falling off and the front door has already warped and rubbing against the door frame. AC unit has a hard time with the heat during the summer which makes me believe that there's probably not enough insulationin the house. After time you can just tell the builder did a crappy job and cut so many corners. I can only imagine what's going on behind the walls, the attic, and roof. Some builders won't allow inspectors on the roof which is a red flag so I'd ask Starlight if they go by those rules as well. I wish I knew the things I know now about the quality of home these companies are building in America in today's world because A LOT of them are cutting corners that it should be criminal at this point. They pressure you to leave a review right after closing while your spirits are high, but I'd recommend waiting at least a year to see just how well your home was built. The HOA here imhas problems as well. They raised the fees due to the clubhouse, yet it's closed for repairs about 20% of the time. How can a building need so much repairs when it is brand new? Some of the rules they impose have nothing to do with property value and if you ask me, $110+ a month for HOA is pretty high for being in a small community as this. I've noticed through Facebook community that's this neighborhood does have a lot of Karens so beware of that. A lot of neighbors like to complain for the smallest reasons trying to tell other people what they can and cannot do, it's pretty annoying. Also, they never mentioned that there is actually a halfway home for mental past criminals in the neighborhood. They live 2 houses down and its astonishing that they never mentioned it considering this community has a bunch of families and children. There was one night on our Ring doorbell camera where one of the guys from the halfway home was wondering outside in the neighborhood at 3AM in the morning. It was quite frightening seeing him looking drugged out right outside our front door, bare footed. There was another night where a neighbor also had a Rong camera and there was a lady who managed to get out of the halfway home and she was just standing in front of their door looking very scary. They had to call the police to find her and return her to halfway home. In conclusion, if you decide to move here then at the very least, please get your home inspected by a good and honest inspector.
