- GBGreg BrownMay 11, 20265.0Once again we've experienced terrific service from the good folks at Loren Vickers Overhead Door. I scheduled an annual checkup partly because I was hearing slight rattling among some of the garage door rollers. But when Jarret and Jerry showed up they determined that was no problem, but found a bigger one. Apparently the big capacitor in our garage door motor unit was failing. Not only had it leaked extensively inside the motor housing, but had degraded to the point of likely failure soon, potentially releasing a cloud of smoke. When Jerry mentioned the "burnt-oil" smell that signaled this problem, I noted that I too had smelled it but assumed it was a problem with our car. The pair cleaned the unit and had an appropriate replacement part in hand. The guys were super friendly as usual, service-oriented, and really know their stuff. Many thanks to the Loren Vickers team for your many years of fine, affordable garage-door service at our home!
