- JIJohn Dean IIIAug 18, 20265.0No amount of windows too small. We had 4 windows replaced. The crew was professional and courteous. They did an outstanding job. We definitely recommend window world.
- SPSheryl PikeAug 14, 20262.0I was totally satisfied with the bay window we had put in, it was beautiful, but the installer removed my mom's handicap ramp when we were told by window world that it would not have to be removed. He sent me a text while I was at work and said that it fell apart on him which can't be true because it was only 5 months old and was in good condition. He left it all apart, and also metal shavings around the area which is also in the driveway where we park and we were concerned about them getting in our tires, so we had to clean it up. My mom had no way to get out of the house,so I had to pay 300.00 to someone to put it back together. I ask that Window World reimburse me for that and they said no and could not do that. I was very disappointed and I have 3 other windows that I plan on replacing soon, but it will not be done by Window World....

Will the replacement windows be installed from the inside or outside?
The majority of our replacement windows are installed from the outside. In some situations it may be necessary to install from the inside. On the day of installation, your installation expert will assess your unique situation and explain the process that will best suit your home.
Do you install replacement windows year-round? If so, will I lose a lot of heat/cooling at the time of installation?
Window World installs replacement windows year-round. An average installation will take only one day. Our crews install one window at a time and are trained to do what they can to minimize heating/cooling loss. The energy savings from your new windows will recover any incremental energy costs incurred during their installation many times over during their lifetime.
How can I prepare my house for my replacement windows?
Please take down curtains, blinds, or any other window treatments. Security sensors should also be removed and turned off by your security company. Please provide our installation expert with a clear path to the window(s) being replaced by moving anything that may be in the way. It is also advisable to remove all wall decorations from the walls close to the windows as they may fall during removal or installation.
How long will it take to get my replacement windows? How much time should I allow for the installation?
Since every window ordered is custom-built to fit your home and design choices, manufacturing times vary. Once delivered, the type of window being installed and the type being removed help determine the amount of time needed to complete the job. On average, each window takes about 30 minutes. Trim work and cleanup will require additional time to complete. An average job will take a single day.
What type of warranty is available for my windows?
All windows and patio doors we sell come with a manufacturer’s lifetime limited warranty and a repair labor guarantee, good for as long as you own your home! Contact us or see our warranties page for more details.
What happens to my old windows?
After installing your new replacement windows we remove all old windows from your property and dispose of them properly. If you wish to keep your old windows or storm windows, please notify the installation crew as soon as it arrives for your installation.
What do I do if there is a problem with the windows?
Most of the issues encountered by our customers are easily corrected and don't necessarily mean that there is a problem with your window. You are always welcome to contact us for help.
