- JSJoshua SoperJun 1, 20261.0Just called the Birmingham, Alabama store and talked to Steve. I’ve had issues with this store in the past, but needed parts they carry so I called anyway. I was looking to order floor box inserts for the brands they supply, hubbell, et cetera, for a job that’s 2.5 hours away from our base of operations and is nowhere near a parts store. I don’t have the exact part number of the box that was installed and it’s too far to drive to get a part number so I figured I would order one of each type of the brands we typically use from our main suppliers. Even though I was willing to purchase multiple parts and have them ordered, knowing I wouldn’t be able to return them, Steve was unwilling to help me. The interaction wasn’t friendly, quite the opposite in fact. He was rude, uncooperative, and the call ended with both of us frustrated and no parts orders. Steve reminded me why we spend 60k a month at Inline and the rest goes to Sequel. I really can’t brag on those companies or their staff enough. The only time I’ll be ordering from Mayer in the future will be if a job specification gives me no other choice. They have lost a customer for life. Josh, Owner of Electrum, LLC
