  Prospector Plumbing was very professional and preformed good quality work in an excellent time frame. They arrived on time, preformed work in under estimated timeframe, and adapted to the work as needed. Zack was great to work with! Definitely knew his stuff, methodical and efficient. Honestly my only “complaint” was that it was pricier than I expected. If they were more affordable, I’d probably have them out for a lot more business. As it stands, I WOULD use them again for more complex or bigger projects. But for anything small, it is probably better to attempt yourself or find a more economical option or you’d have to sell the farm before you’re finished!—That said, if your plumbing needs warrants more complex work, than they are definitely a fine choice to have it done quickly and right the first time! Thanks guys!

  Huge shout out of thanks to Prospect Plumbing and Heating. I called scheduled an appointment with them. They sent me a short bio and picture of the technician coming to my home. so I new who was coming. Huge thanks to Nick your technician for fixing my plumbing issue. Nick was polite, clean and extremely knowledgeable. He took pride in his work he didn't mind my umpteen million questions. I will definitely call on your company again thanks for the prompt and honest service. It's hard to find companies that I can trust this much but you have earned my business for life.

  Our boiler began leaking in March 2026. At first, the leak seemed minor, but we later discovered that water was seeping under the vinyl flooring on the lower level of our home. We contacted several plumbing and heating contractors for estimates and to compare how each company explained our options. Prospector Plumbing stood out because they were the only contractor to mention the existing boiler’s warranty as a possible option, since we were the original purchasers in 1994. Burnham still manufactures that boiler, and although the warranty would have covered the leaking heat exchanger, it would not have covered the labor to replace it. Other contractors recommended switching to a wall-mounted, on-demand system for both heat and hot water. We considered that option but decided against it because, even with meticulous maintenance, the system would be unlikely to last more than 12 years and the cost was nearly the same as replacing the boiler. Because we had just replaced our indirect water heater in January, we decided to purchase a new boiler; our old one had lasted 30 years. We spent most of April meeting with eight to ten contractors to compare costs, payment or financing options, and available military-affiliation discounts. These factors helped guide our final decision. After narrowing our choices to about three contractors, we chose Prospector Plumbing because of their courteous communication and prompt updates as the project moved toward installation. Prospector Plumbing also had municipal requirements to complete before the work could begin. Although they were already licensed in Mat-Su and Fairbanks, the Municipality of Anchorage required them to schedule a licensing test, which delayed the project slightly. Fortunately, I was able to manage the leak by using a hose to direct the dripping water toward a floor drain. Once the license was obtained, the permit was issued and our replacement was scheduled. Tom from Prospector Plumbing kept us informed throughout the process and confirmed the day before that they would arrive as scheduled. Nick and Zac were polite, respectful, efficient, and diligent during the installation, and they explained the process clearly. We were extremely pleased with the experience from start to finish and would gladly recommend Prospector Plumbing for heating and plumbing needs.

  Zack and Devon came to do annual maintenance on our furnace, water heater, garage heater and were able to identify several things for us to be aware of without trying to up-sale us on anything. Were prompt with communication and the text with a bio telling us who would be in our home was appreciated. An accurate quote was given before work began and estimates were sent digitally to review for recommendations. Online scheduling was super easy and they were able to schedule us within 4 days. Would recommend for anyone looking for a professional and reliable crew to take care of your heating and plumbing needs.
