  The folks at Gensolar are easy to deal with and we had a great installation with our new Generac system. They were on time, left the work area clean and tidy, and commissioned our new system without a hitch. Thanks to Aaron, Jesse and the crew for a great experience. It is refreshing to deal with a professional company that stands behind their product and goes above and beyond to ensure the customer is happy. Thanks Gensolar!

  My first interactions with Aaron at gensolar were great. I reached out inquiring about getting a solar package for a new build, and Aaron helped me figure out exactly what I needed. He proceeded to sell me on a federal tax credit incentive that would reduce the overall cost by 40%. This federal tax credit involved applying for a grant, and that I would for sure get it. This 40% tax credit brought the overall cost down enough to justify moving forward, which I did. Part of Aaron’s great sales tactic included the team at Gensolar filling out the grant application on my behalf, with the pitch that it simplified and sped up the process since they apply for it all of the time and are familiar with what the grant needs. With proceeding forward, I was required to put a down deposit of $5000 to begin the process, which was fine. However, I was not explicitly informed that this down deposit was their service fee for filling out the grant application and that it would not be refunded if I was denied the grant. If I had known this information, I would not have proceeded forward with the grant on a possible outcome that may or may not happen. Turns out, Aaron and his team had no idea that the grant was no longer even available, and the application was immediately denied. After receiving this news, I decided to not move forward with the project because the cost was to much to justify. After several calls in to their office to request a refund on my $5000 deposit, Aaron finally explained to me that it was non refundable, which was very disappointing to hear and frustrating. I hope this review can help inform someone in the future if this sales pitch is given to them. I probably would have taken a whirl at filling out the grant application myself if I had been informed that I was paying $5000 just for them to fill out a few sheets of paper.

  i have an unusually high electric bill for a home, lots of people in the house, and so needed more solar panels than most. even so, got it in spring and still managed to completely eliminate the monthly bill (minus the $20 fee the electric company charges no matter what), and all indication is that i wont have any electric bills this summer. will need to see how it holds up over the winter, but so far this is going excellently.

  GenSolar has been a great partner getting our Generac standby generator up and running and providing outstanding ongoing maintenance service. The generator has been a lifesaver through several power outages and the staff professional and supportive.

  I have been planning to get solar panels and batteries for a while and after a lot of research (over 1 year) I decided that the best option was going to be Tesla Powerwall and 12 panels. When I realized that the only Certified Tesla Installer was in Fairbanks I almost gave up and wanted to do it with a local company from Anchorage. I gave it a try and talked to Konstantin and sure enough less than 1 month later I was having everything operating. 12 panels and 1 Powerwall took me through 5 power outages, saved me $ 700 just operating for a little more than 6 month. They have a wonderful crew, very knowledgeable, friendly and clean. One of my worries was that being a Fairbanks Company, I would get a slow response time in Anchorage. That wasn't the case!!! We passed all inspections and I'm grateful for the peace of mind that Gensolar provides for my family. Thank You Gensolar!!! Thank You Konstantin and Team!!!
