In 1987, Austinites Leonard and Dottie Strickler had the American dream of starting a business here in Central Texas that would allow them to support their family and the community they grew up in. Leonard’s experience in water filtration sales and seeing the positive difference water quality made for his clients became a passion which made starting American Water in 1987 the perfect fit. Since then, American Water has been supplying Central and South Texas area home and business owners with quality water solutions for well and city water.
