Risen Foundation did a great job on our foundation repair. Chris, the crew chief, had his team, Christopher, Carlos, Justin, and Darium organized. They came in and did all their setup as scheduled and were actually done early. Next morning, they came in and prepared for the lift. All was done as planned. It's amazing how this process is completed, but glad they knew what they were doing. Of course, appreciate all the guidance from Krista as she planned the entire process, from start to finish. Extremely knowledgeable, professional and kind. Lastly, thanks to Johnathan for his help with the measurements.

I had a really good experience with Risen Foundation Solutions. I started noticing cracks inside and outside my house and met with Sammy, who did a full assessment of the situation. His analysis showed a couple of areas of concern, but in his view it was a judgement call on if I should proceed with stabilizing the foundation. I made the decision to go forward as I wanted peace of mind that the issue would not get any worse. On the day of the work, I met Chris, the crew chief, along with Justin, Dariun, Christopher, and Glenn, who spent the day stabilizing my foundation. Sammy also came by to discuss the work involved and asked if I had anymore questions. All the gentlemen were professional and did an excellent job of working around my sprinkler system and landscape pavers. They cleaned up afterward and left my yard looking great.

I had a really good experience with Risen Foundation Solutions! I solicited proposals from 6 different bidders to place steel piers to address the settling foundation on my home, so I had opportunity to observe each bidder's customer-facing skills, needs assessment expertise, responsiveness, flexibility, technical solution, and pricing. All bidders had very similar assessments of the situation with our foundation, but the proposals varied widely in scope and pricing. I was very pleased with how Kip walked me through the technology and submitted a custom solution that met my criteria and addressed my concerns. After evaluating the bids I felt very comfortable moving forward with Risen. Kip described how the project would proceed. He delivered on everything he promised, and the overall product and job performance exceeded my expectations across the board. No surprises, no gotchas.
Then there's the crew…. I was told the project would take two days to install 15 steel piers. (My neighbor's similar project with a different provider lasted over a week). David and his crew (Anthony, Larry, Jose, Glenn, Demarcus, Markos, Israel, and Bryan) arrived at 8:15 AM and went straight to work. They completed the work, restored and cleaned up the site, and left at 3:15. That's only 7 hours, folks! They were professional, respectful, responsive, and efficient. I also observed how they bagged the soil as they excavated, then later backfilled with the soil from the bags, leaving the job site very clean with little impact to the yard.
Kip and his team also did a great job of project coordination. They provided timely communications, and coordinated with other workers, inspectors, and engineers so that there was minimal down time awaiting the green light to move forward and wrap up.
Doing a foundation repair job on my home was certainly not on my bucket list or Top 10 favorites list. But the Risen team delivered a product and service I feel good about and I now have a confidence in the integrity of my home foundation that I did not have before. Risen Foundation Solutions was a good choice - they gave me the best solution at the best price, without breaking the bank.
Frequently Asked Questions About Risen Foundation Solutions
How long does an evaluation take?
Depending on the size of the home, the foundation expert collects all the data required in about 30 minutes. Depending on how many questions the homeowner has, can extend the full evaluation time to an hour or more. Our evaluators have other appointments scheduled and want to be respectful of other clientele’s time commitment.
What areas of my home will the individual need to inspect?
The evaluator will observe the property from the interior and exterior. All areas of the main level floor must be accessible to place a measuring device (called an altimeter) to take variance readings and provide a proper proposal. The perimeter must be accessible to observe obstacles around the home that may interfere with the proposed plan.
What is the evaluator looking for other than measurements and observable cosmetic deficiencies?
Our experts look at utility placement, connecting slabs that are attached but not a part of the home's foundation. The evaluator also looks for your plumbing clean-out as it is required to receive Risen’s limited lifetime warranty. The landscaping is also assessed to determine what will need to avoided during project work.
I already have a plumbing break, do I need to get that repaired first?
If you have a known drain line break, and it is at or below slab level, DO NOT repair anything until your slab has been evaluated by our foundation repair experts. If you have a supply line leak, in most cases you need to have that repaired to prevent flowing water damage.
I want to get new windows and maybe some light cosmetics updated, does the foundation affect that if I don’t already have cosmetic issues?
The foundation is the base for everything on your home. It is best to get your foundation evaluated by a professional before changing cosmetics. If you have already moved forward with a refresh or replacing cabinets, windows and other fixtures and furnishings, you may have slight cosmetic touch ups, but in most cases, you will not have to replace big ticket items.
I just got my roof done, is that a problem?
Depending on the severity of your foundation issue, we will still be able to devise a plan for your home. We may be somewhat limited in our ability to recover lost elevation and maintain the integrity of your new roof.
What about my sprinkler system?
In most cases we are able to work around your sprinklers and buried lines. There are rare cases that present obstacles, but we frequently find solutions that are quick and easy. In rare cases you may want to have your irrigation professional re-calibrate sprinkler heads upon completion.
When can I expect my proposal?
Our foundation experts have a 24-48 hour window to ensuring your proposal is emailed to you with the e-mail address you provided when booking your evaluation.
I am a visual learner, and I want to see the measurements evaluated.
Your proposal should have a minimum of three attachments that include not only the measurements taken at the time of the evaluation, but of the general pier placement in and around the foundation.
I have quotes from other companies and don’t understand the difference in pricing.
There are several different solutions to address foundation issues that range from addressing critical areas to encompassing the best fit for a slab which we refer to as a comprehensive solution.
The solutions provided may also include different materials to address your slab issues to include concrete and steel as the two major repair materials. Be sure you are comparing steel to steel, or vice versa. The best step to take is to consult your project manager to understand the specifics of your plan(s) provided.
How long does a foundation evaluation by Risen Foundation Solutions usually take?
The evaluation takes about 30 minutes for data collection, but can extend up to an hour or more depending on homeowner questions.
What areas of my home will be inspected during the foundation evaluation?
The evaluator will inspect both the interior and exterior of the main level floor and perimeter to take measurements and observe potential obstacles.
What does the evaluator look for besides measurements and cosmetic issues?
They check utility placement, slabs connected to the foundation, plumbing clean-outs for warranty, and landscaping to plan the repair work.
Should I repair a plumbing break before the slab evaluation?
Do not repair drain line breaks at or below slab level before evaluation; supply line leaks usually should be repaired beforehand to prevent damage.
Does foundation condition affect cosmetic home updates like new windows or cabinetry?
It's best to evaluate the foundation before cosmetics; minor touch-ups may be needed after repairs, but major replacements are usually unnecessary.
Can foundation repair be done after a new roof has been installed?
Yes, although severe foundation issues may limit elevation recovery to protect the new roof's integrity.
Will Risen Foundation Solutions work around existing sprinkler systems during repairs?
Typically yes; they can often avoid sprinklers and buried lines, though rare obstacles may require irrigation recalibration afterward.
When can I expect to receive my foundation repair proposal?
Proposals are emailed within 24-48 hours to the address provided during booking.
What documents are included in the foundation repair proposal?
Proposals include at least three attachments showing measurements and general pier placement around the foundation.
