  Gregory was very friendly and knowledgeable. His help me with information and options on how to best proceed with my garage service. My garage is an old unit and unfortunate unable to proceed financially with repairs or replacement at this time. I have made a contact added to my phone in case in the future I decide to revisit my options. Thank you very Much. George Hernandez

  A1 Garage Door Service can't say nothing bad about this Company. A bunch of work together and go out of their way hard working personnel. All of them from the office management to the Techs in the field. I"ve had the privilege of working with 3 of the Techs in the last 6 weeks they are very good with the Garage Door and all the parts that make them function with precision for years to come. They've been well trained before being turned out into the field and very impressive to say the least of their work habits. This Company is top notch and well put together from top to bottom. #1 Service Company in San Antonio.

  I’m disappointed with our experience with A1 Garage Door Services. The technician was extremely pushy about selling additional products and services. We fully understand that sales are part of his job, but there comes a point where “no” should be respected. Even after we clearly explained multiple times that we were not interested, he continued trying to convince us — including suggesting that the original garage door company would likely not honor our warranty. After the visit, we had the original company come out for a second opinion. They informed us that the nearly $2,000 worth of work A1 was recommending was completely unnecessary. They also fully honored the warranty, as expected. What made the situation even more uncomfortable was that after we declined the service, the technician left his tools and materials in the garage, which created more time and space for him to continue pushing products we had already denied. Instead of wrapping up and leaving when service was declined, he remained in the garage attempting to revisit the sale. He also left A1 stickers around the garage as if work had been performed, which felt misleading and unprofessional. We respect hard work and understand upselling is common in service industries, but professionalism includes respecting customer boundaries. If service is declined, that decision should be honored without pressure.

  Among the many practices that have suffered great decline, customer care is one that sits close to the top. I want to say up front, I criticize deficiencies, I applaud excellence. I was pleasantly surprised the moment the employee answered my call at A1 Garage Door Service. She was polite and warm. What a breath of fresh air! It is apparent that this behavior towards customers(potential) is a standard in this company. They project immediately an attitude that says, “without you, I cannot be.” On 2/16/26 a technician Mr. Garcia came to my home to assess my garage door.. I opened my door to a very warm smile and greeting. He was professional, courteous, and informational. He patiently explained everything he saw and whether it warranted attention now, or possibly later. All this was done without any pressure. He showed me the parts, what they did, how they should work in harmony in order not to cause damage to the door etc. My thanks to this company and Mr. Garcia.

  Greg, the tech for A1 did an outstanding job in performing the tune up for the garage door. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional. He explained everything he was doing and why it was important. He was very friendly and represented his company very well. He never pressured us to do any unnecessary repairs and gave us the cost for things that someday we may need to replace. Greg was very honest and trustworthy. Next time we call A1 we are going to request him by name. He got five stars but his service deserves ten stars.
