I’ve now had multiple experiences with Air and Drain Works, and this most recent situation has been extremely frustrating and concerning. Two years ago, they replaced my entire main drain system. During that job, their crew actually broke through my tile from underneath the house. Instead of properly repairing it, I was basically given an “oops” and they filled the area with concrete. That alone should have been a major warning sign about the quality of their work. After reviewing that original job, I also noticed I had been overcharged for a significant amount of pipe that didn’t seem necessary. I had to call it out myself to get it corrected. Fast forward to a couple of days ago. They performed a hydrostatic test and told me the system was not holding water and that there was likely a separation, possibly near the cleanout. Based on that finding, they recommended a pinpoint test to locate the exact issue. I agreed and paid $1,300 for the pinpoint test, expecting it to give a clear answer. During that test, they told me they found a “bow” in the line, meaning the pipe was sagging and not properly supported. However, they were still unable to identify the exact location of any break or failure. Despite not being able to pinpoint the issue, I was still charged in full. Now I’m being told the only way to move forward is to dig underneath my home where they think the problem might be, at a cost of around $16,000. That completely defeats the purpose of the pinpoint test. I paid for a diagnostic service that was supposed to locate the problem, and instead I’m left with no clear answers and being pushed toward a very expensive and invasive repair based on guesswork. Considering they installed the system just two years ago—and given the issues during that original job—it raises serious concerns about their workmanship and accountability. At this point, I feel like I paid for testing that didn’t deliver results and am now being pressured into spending significantly more money without a confirmed cause. I strongly recommend anyone considering this company to get a second opinion and carefully review everything before moving forward.

Frequently Asked Questions About Air & Drain Works

How Often Does My Water Heater Need Flushing?

For a well-running water heater system, we advise scheduling a cleaning once a year to keep your unit running efficiently. Routine maintenance is proven to extend the lifespan of your water heater. In tanked models, this helps prevent leaks and sediment accumulation. Extensive cleaning removes unwanted debris and deposits that build up in the tank. Our plumbers can perform a flush treatment that will extend your water heater’s life expectancy.

What Is Hydrojetting And How Can It Help My Drains?

Hydrojetting is an effective way to clear out drain lines and pipes. Hydrojetting pushes a very powerful water jet through your pipes along with sewer lines. It clears out any kind of debris, waste and sludge that may be obstructing your plumbing system. This process is safe and power-balanced for your system. At Air & Drain Works, we suggest hydrojetting to customers searching for proactive cleaning as well as some cases of clearing harder clogs. Stopping buildup before it occurs is the best way to keep your system clean and healthy.
