Really enjoy having the Kinetico Water softener system. Dylan P. came by to help with changing of filters and guided me on what to watch out for next time. Really appreciate his efforts in this matter. Communication all around was good

Great service by Jay and Romaldo. Romaldo did a great job with testing the water and explaining the details of the softeners and RO system. Sales wasn’t pushy, and the decision-making was up to me after explaining the details of each system. Pricing options were explained in detail, and I found the pricing competitive. Jay was great with installation and explained the maintenance and operation in detail. Both were very professional and helpful. Overall, a great experience with both purchase and installation. Will definitely recommend them for your softener and RO needs.

Great experience as always with American Water. We have been very impressed with the system we had installed, the service tech that just changed the filters out and the company as a whole. Highly recommended

Lisa at the office got a technician to my house the next morning after my call late in the afternoon the previous day. I had a slow leak. The technician, Austin, arrived as promised in the text that was sent when he was on his way. Debris was found in the control head as the source of the problem. He removed the debris, replaced two valves that were due for replacement after normal wear (less than $14), and discovered a bypass valve was not properly working. That was under warranty. No charge. He also replaced the pre-filter. Austin suggested a few upgrades, but no pressure. In less than an hour after all that work and looking everything over and testing, plus wiping clean the area and unit, he was finished. He originally installed this unit in 2018, moved it to our current residence in 2023, and was here for the repairs. Good to have that relationship. We have been happy Kinetico owners since 1977.

Frequently Asked Questions About American Water

What Is The Difference Between Soft And Hard Water?

Hard water is water that has not been treated. It contains certain minerals like calcium and magnesium. Soft water, on the other hand, is water that does not contain any minerals other than sodium. Soft water may be naturally occurring, such as rainwater, or may result from treating hard water with a filtration system to remove excess minerals.

How Do I Know If My Water Has Been Contaminated?

Water must be officially tested for specific minerals and contaminants in order to determine if the water has been contaminated. However, certain warning signs can signal contaminants may be present and can help determine if your water needs to be tested or treated. These warning signs differ based on which contaminant is present in your water. For example, if your water tastes metallic, it may have certain metals in it, such as iron, copper or zinc. Other potential warning signs include an earthy taste to your water, cloudy or murky water or the presence of rust stains in your bathroom, which may all be indicative of water contaminants.
