  This was my first time hiring a GC to handle a remodel and we're extremely happy we went with Jay and his crew. Jay was extremely responsive and detailed during the quote phase, and that attention carried through the entire project. He helped guide us in areas where we were unsure or just unknowledgeable and he never used those opportunities to try to get more money out of us. Jay and his crew are 'customer first' and it was much appreciated. We love our new master bathroom and closet!

  Jay and his team are professionals, they are a skillful bunch and did an amazing job with shower remodeling. Jay has always been available for the questions and his communication is excellent. 100% would recommend Jay to friends and family.

  We recently used Jay the Builder for a few projects: gut and redo our master bathroom, remove a popcorn ceiling in the master bedroom, and refresh a half bath. It was a great experience from start to finish. Jay was professional and a pleasure to work with. He was helpful, had good ideas, and was always available to answer questions. He submitted a detailed bid and stuck to the budget and the timeline. His crew showed up on time and stayed until the work was done (and Kwame and Henry were so nice to our old dog.) And, most importantly, they did quality work. I’m happy with it all, especially the beautiful walk-in shower, but I think my favorite part may be the bathroom floor, and that’s because of Kwame’s attention to detail with the hexagonal tile (so many cuts!)   Jay renovated all three bathrooms, the kitchen, painted our house and ceilings, changed out all interior doors and replaced all baseboards. He did an excellent , professional job that everyone admires when they visit my house. His experienced was evidenced the varied recommendations that he was able to give us. Through conversation he immediately understood our style and vision and was able to guide our buying decisions. Jay knows the business and vendors in Dallas and has excellent taste. This can be seen with everything from the tile design, granite choices, fixture selection to paint colors. His attention to detail to ensure that rooms were finished was appreciated. For his level of expertise and experience his pricing was very competitive and I would would not hesitate to recommend him for any job.
