  Plano overhead garage was very prompt in getting back to us. They had a technician out the next day to fix our garage door. Our tech Greg was very knowledgeable and fixed the broken spring and put in new rollers so in an hour. He was helpful and explained everything. The garage door is running better than it has in a long time. Also, I appreciated that they send a picture of the tech ahead of time so I knew it was him as well as a link to show where he was in relation to the house so I knew when he would arrive. This made me feel safer. I highly recommend Plano Overhead Garage.

  I recently had a incident where my garage door was damaged and I needed to have it replaced. Contacted Plano Overhead Garage Door and they responded quickly by sending out a tech to assess the damage. He arrived on time and was very professional and friendly. He assessed the damage and explained several options to having it repaired. They scheduled the installation of my new door for the next day and had it installed quickly and efficiently. The installation tech (Kay) also instructed me on the operation and how to maintain the door. Plano Overhead Garage Door sets the standard in customer service and installation. Thank you Overhead Garage Door Team for the great job!

  I wanted to install a high lift system in my garage for more space and received a quote from POGD in September 2025. I had already asked multiple other companies about the feasibility as well as the cost, so I already had a rough estimate in my mind. POGD said it wasn’t possible based on the weight of the garage door and instead tried to sell me two new garage doors with the system, totaling 18k. I instead went with another company that was able to create the high lift system WITHOUT the necessity for a completely new garage door. 1 star for attempting to upsell after a blatant lie.

  Due to a mishap a few years ago, our damaged garage door finally needed to be replaced. We contacted Plano Overhead Door. It took several trips to the well-appointed showroom to look at all the types of doors available from plain steel to wood look and overlays. Plano Overhead Doors outstanding store staff showed us their sample doors and provided some sample rings to take with us which included the solid door colors as well as the wood look doors. We were interested in upgrading to an insulated door with a Real Wood look. After several emails and a final trip to the showroom, we choose a Carriage style door in Dark Oak made by C.H.I. We chose a door that matched our fence and brick color. It is an insulated double-sided steel door without any windows. It came with a hinge and handle look package and we also added the door seal package to keep out most things that belong outside like weather, Bugs, things with small legs and fur. Lol. We put down our deposit to order the door on February 12th, 2026. The door arrived in less than three weeks and was scheduled for installation March 4th, 2026. Their Technician Jacob O'Bier arrived on time and was ready to go. Jacob knows his trade. He had the old door and tracks out and loaded on his truck in no time. Jacob then installed the new tracks, door, remounted our existing door opener to work with the new door and was finished up in just over 3 hours. I cannot express how satisfied we are with the entire experience from concept to installation that Plano Overhead Door provided. It is very rare to please a pair of old school no nonsense people like us. OUTSTANDING EXPERIANCE! Marc E.

  I genuinely do not understand how this company has so many five-star reviews. I called them out for a simple broken spring replacement. Before the spring broke, my garage door ran smoothly — no grinding, no screeching, no metal-on-metal noise. After their technician replaced the spring, my door suddenly sounds like it’s tearing itself apart every time it opens or closes. When I had them come back out, they immediately pivoted to, “It’s your old parts,” and handed me a quote to replace the rollers. Funny how that was never mentioned before or during the initial repair. No warning. No “hey, this might happen.” Just a brand-new problem followed by a brand-new invoice. So either the work was done carelessly, or this is a textbook upsell tactic. Either way, it’s unacceptable. You don’t fix one issue and create another — then try to charge the customer again to “solve” it. If this is how they do business, I’d strongly encourage others to get a second opinion before hiring them. I would not use Plano Overhead Garage Door again unless they actually take responsibility and correct the issue without trying to squeeze more money out of me.
