They really knows their stuff. I talked to a few different spray foam companies before I was referred to Tri Lakes and I really liked how the the owner is the one I spoke to and got a bid from. No middle man or back and forth. Literally got a bid within 5 minutes. Then the work itself…so glad I went with them. My elextric bill is 60% - 70% cheaper than my previous house and my new home is almost twice the size.

I called Greg to come out and remove insulation and spray new insulation in. They arrived on time and had very hard working crews, job took longer than they thought and still made time to come finish it the next day even though they were booked up. Great company to work with and easy to communicate with. I was very impressed with this company, the area was even cleaned up when they were done! Great job guys and thanks for accommodating me last minute!!

Frequently Asked Questions About Tri-Lakes Spray Foam Insulation
What's the difference between open-cell vs closed-cell spray foam? Which should I choose?
Open-cell foam is lighter, softer, and more flexible - often chosen for attics, interior walls, or areas where vapor permeability or sound dampening is desired.
Closed-cell foam is denser, rigid, offers higher insulation per inch (higher R-value), and acts as a moisture and air barrier - good for exterior walls, metal buildings, barns/shops, or humid conditions (which you get often in Texas).
The choice depends on the project type (home, barn, attic), budget, and your goals (e.g. moisture resistance vs sound control vs budget) - a quick site visit and evaluation helps pick the right one. Contact Tri-Lakes Spray Foam Insulation, LLC today to schedule a visit from us.
How much does spray foam insulation cost - and how does that compare to traditional insulation?
Spray foam usually costs more upfront than traditional insulation like fiberglass or cellulose. However, because spray foam seals air leaks and offers a tight building envelope, the long-term energy savings (lower heating/cooling costs) often offset the higher upfront cost.
The right price depends on the size of the project, the foam type (open vs closed), and the accessibility/complexity of the building (barn, home, attic, shop, etc.)
Will spray foam insulation lower my energy bills / improve comfort - especially in Texas heat?
Yes - spray foam is highly effective at sealing air leaks, which reduces heat gain in summer and heat loss in winter. That means your HVAC doesn't have to work as hard, which usually leads to lower energy bills and greater comfort. Especially in hot, humid Texas weather (or poorly insulated barns/shops), spray foam helps maintain a more stable indoor temperature and can reduce humidity- and moisture-related issues.
With spray foam insulation compared to traditional insulation, spray foam saves you 65% of your energy bill, and on new construction, you can use half the tonnage on your air conditioner. Ex: on a 2,00 sqft home, it takes 2.5 tons compared to a 5-ton unit with traditional insulation.
Is spray foam safe? And do I need a professional to install it?
Properly installed spray foam is considered safe - but because it involves chemical components and expansion, it requires professional-grade equipment and trained installers.
DIY installation is generally not recommended: incorrect mixing, application or curing can lead to performance problems (gaps, shrinking, off-gassing) and even health or structural issues.
A professional installation ensures the foam seals properly, cures safely, and delivers the full long-term benefits (efficiency, durability, moisture barrier, etc.)
Does spray foam last? Will I ever have to re-insulate?
When properly applied, spray foam insulation is long-lasting - it doesn't sag, settle, or lose its effectiveness over time (unlike some traditional insulation). Because of that stability and durability, for many structures (homes, barns, shops, offices), spray foam is effectively a one-and-done insulation solution.
