We are very pleased to have Clear The Air for service and maintenance. The price we paid indicated below is for a maintenance contract for the year. We appreciated the detailed explanation on our unit and the company by Robert Britt. We appreciate a family based business that is multigenerational to retain knowledge and provide excellent service. We appreciate a family business ( and not a company buying up customers of retired family businesses. ) Better service, quality and price.

Update... this company had 2 different techs completely lie about service they said I needed. I just had Victory Comfort Solutions come by and report there is absolutely nothing wrong with my furnace. Also, the reason their ratings are so high is that if they receive a bad rating, they will immediately call to smooth things over. Just cancelled membership. I do not trust this company. Here is the latest involvement and why I cancelled membership... tech showed up to check furnace. He said I needed a whole new furnace because there was a crack in the exchange. Using AI, I researched what he was telling me and asked the tech appropriate questions on how he determined this diagnosis. His diagnosis was 100% based on a video he showed and that he has 20 years of experience. He said he couldn't insert a camera to show a crack in the exchange nor did he take appropriate readings of other indicators for his proposed diagnosis. He became defensive and angry that I was communicating with my phone on what he was saying and suggested that whomever I was messaging with should come fix it since they know so much (if only ChatGPT could!). He ended up saying he couldn't deal with my household any longer and that he was leaving and they'd have to send a different tech. He completed his report and emailed 2 quotes... 1 for a new furnace for $4605 and 1 for a new heat exchange for $1043. I called the office and explained since the first tech left after saying my furnace was a fire and carbon monoxide risk, I needed someone else to come out. The 2nd tech did a thorough system check and came to the same conclusion as the first tech. He then emailed his quote... exact same heat exchange replacement but new price was $1220. I'm not sure exactly why the price jumped almost $200 but the whole experience felt shady. I asked around and got referred to Victory Comfort Solutions and Bazil (both seem wonderful!). I have talked to both, and these are 2 family-owned businesses that have not been bought out by a huge corporation like Clear the Air. I heard horror stories of HVAC companies completely lying and scaring homeowners into spending many of thousands of dollars (nothing specifically stated about Clear the Air) for things they don't need and even showing pictures and videos of random units and convincing homeowners, it was their unit. Again, I'm not saying Clear the Air is that unethical. My advice... whatever HVAC company you hire, verify what they are saying. Get 2 quotes even though there is a fee for diagnosing and compare notes to see if match up. Also, I learned that just because we purchased our HVAC system from Clear the Air 9 years ago, the warranty isn't through them but through the manufacturer; the manufacturer will cover the parts warranty. When I called and cancelled the membership, after being a member for many years, I felt further disappointed that they didn't even bother to ask why I was cancelling. I guess I'm just a number to them.
