  Had an ac tune up done today and was very impressed. Michael Walters did an outstanding job from cleaning the entire unit and checking everything out to make sure it's running in top form. Extremely courteous and professional.

  Technician ( Mike ) showed up on time and he was a nice guy. I noticed he came into our home to inspect with no shoe coverings and a 3 foot metal bubble level. Found it odd as he walked through the house he would tap it on my floor, looked like he used it as a walking stick. I mean we don't have carpet so was just not thrilled about the metal to floor contact over and over. The main issue was he didn’t bring any equipment to check the elevation level(s) of the house. His inspection technique was to place the level on a few door jambs and window sills in spite of seeing all the interior cracks. We showed him the exterior column movement on the load bearing front column and the stairstep brick crack at the window outside plus the freeze board movement at the front exterior entryway. He stated everything was ‘square’ and level so we didn’t have any foundation issues and should call an engineer out to see what’s going on. We were extremely disappointed as was the engineer we did in fact call to come out who commented he was also surprised no elevation readings were taken by DuWest. Since then, we have had elevation readings done by others, along with a structural engineer, and looks like it is a foundation issue evident via the elevation variances. We had high hopes and had called DuWest first only to feel the whole thing fell really flat and short. The response provided was to be expected, but we stand by our review. There was no engineer involved until DuWest insisted one be contacted. To say my wife is a property manager is like saying Babe Ruth was just a baseball player. She is over all of the company's offices in 30 states. There was no misunderstanding. We appreciate the 'do over' offer, but DuWest is on the corporate 'no fly' list and the engineering company's as well. Rule #1: Never ever beg or chase a contractor for the chance to give them your money. Too many others out there that don't take the opportunity lightly.

  Had someone come out to give me a quote for foundation repair and drainage solution for my front and back yard. Received a mapping of my homes high and low spots and they said they would get me a quote in a few days and it has now been almost a month. I call the rep, send texts and emails with no response. What a waste of my time and how very unprofessional.

  We had a driveway leveled (raised) on 04/15/2025. The driveway looked great for several months then it started settling. I started calling in September to report the problem and take advantage of my one year warranty. It seems there is one lady in the office I had to speak with and though I left numerous messages I didn't get a call back. Finally I was able to speak with her and she wanted pictures of the "suspected settling" which I sent over the same day. I called back and finally she scheduled the General Manager to come look at the problem on 10/30/25. He said he would set an appointment to have the problem corrected. I've been calling ever since trying to speak with the lady. I finally was told the GM (man who came out) hasn't been in the office to turn in his paper work. That went on for 3 weeks. Today the lady said he knew what was needed on the job but their only truck was on a commercial job and wouldn't be available until the first week of December. I've lost 2 months of my warranty period with nothing happening. I've heard Jim Dutton for years on the radio and have always been impressed with his knowledge. It's hard to believe this is his company. I expected more. They are suppose to call the first week of December to set an appointment. Not holding my breath!

  I noticed that the brick was pulling away from a window and suspected a foundation issue. Having listened to Mr. Dutton’s radio program for several years, Du-West Foundation Repair was the only company that I considered contacting for an evaluation, and I could not be happier with that decision. Everyone from Du-West that I interacted with, including the Estimator Jordan, Max and Bolita’s digging/lifting crew and the Supervisor Jorge, was courteous, professional and respectful of my property. Of special note was Max and Bolita’s crew. After reviewing the plans for the foundation repair they immediately went to work digging holes and then driving piles. The crew was very careful not to damage my fiber optic internet cable or the water lines for the sprinkler system. They also installed approximately 25 feet of root shield. After the work was completed their clean-up was exceptional. I would absolutely not hesitate to recommend Du-West to anyone that needed foundation repair services.
