  Wellcot is a growing business as they just picked up a new customer today. Zac Compton did an excellent job and my overall experience is the reason they got a new customer today from a different electric company.

  My experience has been fantastic all around! From the call for making the appointment which was friendly and prompt, to the actual day of service where our technician came on time (with a text of actual eta! Which is so nice), and a friendly and competent electrician who was ready to work with a cheerful attitude, I couldn’t be more impressed with this business. Marcos was professional and able to quickly do a job we had put off for over a year. He even changed a lightbulb that had broken in the socket on his way out just as a sweet gesture! Great business and fair pricing. I won’t call anyone else when I need electrical work!

  Great experience with this place. Had them come out to quote and later install two AC power connections for my home security system. The installed the cameras/lights in less than an hour. Prompt service, good pricing with very flexible payment options. Will be coming back for a generator install later this year

  I don't have enough good things to say about Zach & Marcus. They came out twice, took plenty of time to talk through my options and answer all of my questions, even those I didn't know enough to ask. I would highly recommend them and will be going back for any future projects!

  Our pool pump quit working. Went to check the breaker, it did not appear to be tripped. We tried to reset it anyway, but it was frozen in place. There was also a bad smell. We called an electrician, who came in a couple hours late on a Sunday. He popped out the breaker to discover the plastic was melting badly as well as a few around it. He advised us to call someone to come look at everything because he was not certified to do more. The next day we called Wellott Electric and explained the situation and they sent two of their electricians, Marcos & Zac, who were here within an hour due to what I described was going on. They immediately smelled and knew the problem. The panel, which was installed when our hour was built in 1999, had been deemed a safety/fire hazard several years ago & taken off the market (which the first electrician had said also). We decided to replace the entire panel. Marcos & Zac immediately got on their phones to get the required processes started - coordinating with the city of McKinney for permits/inspection and Reliant/Oncor about power. The plan was to replace the entire breaker panel plus bring everything else up to current code, which involved an emergency cutoff for first responders, additional grounding, etc. and also to install an outlet that connects to the panel for our portable generator. Within two days, everything was in place. Zac & Carlos were here before 8am to meet the Oncor tech to turn off the power, who got out of his truck at exactly 8 am. He did his part and then they started. They worked til late afternoon, called Oncor back, who came & turned the power back on. The city inspector had come by a couple times during the day checking things out, and again when they were finishing up and said all looked good. Everything went exactly as they said it would. Everyone at Wellott, from the first phone call, to additional calls, texts & emails advising how things were progressing, and especially the electricians who came to our home, were professional, very knowledgeable, obviously very well trained & experienced, focused on safety and just really nice and pleasant people. Anyone would be hard pressed to find a better group of people to work with or be in your home. Our family will call on Wellott Electrical for any and all future electrical related needs.
