  Our experience with Hymeadow has been a mixture of feelings. We had a great closing process, with our final walk throughs being somewhat met to our expectations, but friendly staff all around. Once we moved in though, there were still so many issues within the house that weren’t repaired, paint stuck to all the floors/counters, unfinished trim, and the cleaning was far from complete. We had no doorbell even installed, so when we would try to use it from outside there wasn’t even a bell inside to alert us! The shutters for the exterior arrived late, in a box outside our front door, but no one even told us to expect them, and it took over a week for anyone to come by for install. We chose not to use them in the end because our house wasn’t sold to us that way, and we didn’t want to change what we already knew. Our yard had beer bottles scattered around from the workers, trash, and chunks of cement all in our soil when we tried to plant anything, and the sidewalks are still covered in chunks of dried cement that hasn’t been scraped off. My daughter can barely ride her scooter without hitting them. Not to mention ALL my neighbors have had major issues with leaks, unfinished cosmetic issues, wiring issues, and more. Safety wise, we received a letter within a month or so after move in that alerted us of a RECALL on our electrical box outside, but of course we had to contact the company itself to request an inspection, which still hasn’t happened by the way. The outlets in our bathrooms weren’t even wired correctly so we had zero power in any of our bathrooms until an electrician came out to repair it. Also, the HOA is a hired out management company who sends violation fees via mail but doesn’t alert you with any kind of warning, or any info on how to even access your account until you call them. So many neighbors have had issues with this, and all their rules. Overall, if you’re looking for a small starter home that comes in a very simple, cheap, basic design, then it’s exactly what you’re looking for. Yes, they’re under warranty, and a lot of the repairs have been made under that thankfully, but still. This is a very impersonal, rushed, and unfinished mess, and personally I regret my decision in buying this home.
