We purchased a move-in ready home, and our experience was great from start to finish. Amanda helped us not just when looking at the houses but throughout the rest of the closing process. Ryan was great to work with on the construction side, and Humberto was very helpful during one of our visits. We were provided a clear process for getting ready to close, and Amanda and Ryan were very communicative, open to questions, and walked us through everything.

If you're thinking of buying or building a house with Gehan, don't!
I bought my home in February of 2020. Gehan was very pushy on closing within two weeks and my wife and I pulled everything together to be able to close within that time frame. During our final walk through, we noticed that there were pockets of air in the vinyl plank flooring. Gehan inspected it and decided that the entire flooring needed to be replaced. Our closing was delayed but we were compensated with free blinds, which was nice. After the new floor was installed, there were still air pockets however the builder, Jered, told us that it just needed to settle in since the flooring was just installed. We believed him and closed on the house, big mistake!
Fast forward to 2021, we submitted our 11 month warranty claim in January but did not receive a response until March, only after escalating through many avenues. The Gehan rep, Alison was sent to do a walk through of our house with the 11 month inspection list. She acknowledged the flooring issue on paper and gave me a list of all the vendors that would be coming out to fix these issues. Wisenbaker is the company that does the flooring. They were sent out, took pictures and acknowledged the issue as well. I didn't hear anything for weeks so I reached out to Alison regarding the issue and she let me know that the same flooring I had when I closed on the house and the same issue she acknowledged in person is now due to something different and is not covered by warranty. I requested to speak to her manager but didn't get a response. I was able to get the number of her manager Kain from one of our neighbors, who also did not respond. I reached out to the warranty coordinator and left a voicemail. I then received a nasty text message from Alison threatening to have all my warranty items closed out if I persisted about the flooring issue. Gehan is incredibly difficult to work with and I do not recommend them.
