  We’re happy overall with our home in Flora and grateful for the support from Nelia (Brightland/DRB sales) and Ali (lifestyle director). The neighborhood is lovely, and we’ve enjoyed meeting neighbors at HOA events. That said, our movein was delayed for nearly two months due to a cabinet issue that began the day before our August 19th closing. During the walkthrough, we flagged paint touchups on the kitchen cabinets. The repairs were done incorrectly, and we signed a document stating new cabinet faces would arrive by August 29th. Instead, they were only measured by September 10th, with installation pushed to late September. Even then, only 3 of the 4 cabinets were replaced, and the most visibly flawed one had to be custom ordered with no ETA. The issue was finally resolved on October 13th. This delay was especially hard as we purchased the home to support our senior dog during her chemotherapy, and had to remain in a two-story rental while waiting. We moved in before the final fix out of necessity. DRB did ask how they could make it right, but never responded to my email - and misspelled my name in their comment, which added to the frustration. If you’re asked to sign a delay agreement before closing, be cautious. Once you close, your leverage diminishes. Still, we’re relieved to be home now and looking forward to settling in.
