When we contacted John Moore, we were quoted $59 for the AC tune up. They also listed everything that was inclusive of the tune up. (I’ve attached pictures). When it came time to pay, it was $69 and we did not fight it at the time. The individual who showed up did not do anything regarding the tune up. He just checked everything. He did not clean the condenser coil which was listed in the things that should have been done. My husband went to check it after he left and it was filthy and not cleaned so my husband had to do it clean the coil. He also did not clean the drains which needs to be done living in this area. Additionally he quoted us around $600 for a capacitor replacement which is just crazy expensive. Why would we use them for anything when they couldn’t provide the basic services they had told us they could do? I’d not recommend this company as we feel we got ripped off for services not rendered.

Had the best experience with B. Lopez, I believe it’s Breznet. Came out on Easter Sunday and he was so friendly. Connected with son who was hanging around and being nosey, he didn’t let it bother him. He asked him about him playing baseball after seeing the net in the backyard, asked him about school and showed us both how to understand where the clogged drain was and why. My husband was at work so he still told me what he was doing. He showed me how to see the drain outside the house and how to turn the nozzle if water starts coming out of the laundry hole again. The laundry room had lots of water everywhere and I had towels down. He put them in the wash when he was finished and even asked if I had a wet vac. He used it to clean up the water that the towels couldn’t. I don’t know if this is a part of your services but it was very very helpful. People jokingly say “give this guy a raise”… well I’m very very serious. I don’t know what he makes but it isn’t enough. To even accept the call, AND go above the service on Easter, is unheard of. I’m extremely grateful.

Don’t ever. I repeat, don’t ever use John Moore. They will charge you an arm and a leg and your issue will still not be fixed. We called them because we had a leak. They claim no charge for coming to your house. True. But they will just come to look and will do nothing without charging. They wanted to cut open a dry wall that they “hear” leak from but really, what they were hearing were the pipes from upstairs to the first floor. They said they would have to charge us to cut it open but won’t guarantee that the problem is there. Really? Wow. Paying you for something that is not even sure. Over $500 to cut open the sheetrock and they won’t fix it. I didn’t feel comfortable and told them never mind, I’ll call them back if I need their service. So i called another plumber who actually found the problem without cutting the sheetrock and it was in the attic. And, this plumber used to work for John Moore and he left that company because he said they are shady. Sooo True! That plumber (not John Moore) fixed our problem and didnt charge us until it was done and completed. And, we paid the same amount John Moore quoted us just to “find the problem and that doesn’t include the repair” while second plumber/company charged us the same amount as John Moore’s quote just to look for the issue. Since then, never will I use this shady company.

Cancelled duct work $13,000 attic estimate for several torn into duct by rats that were removed and the house sealed. When i called John Moore I asked specifically if they did duct work repair and was told yes but the guy John Moore sent out said John Moore does not do repairing of ducts work. and now today my wife saw some light coming from attic and when I pulled the door not only had he neglected to turn the light off he took a towel I had placed over one of the holes that had been chewed on to prevent air conditioning of the attic and then didn't bother to close the insulated attic cover that you zip up to keep cold air from the house from escaping into attic . My wife and I are both over 71 senior citizens and I am recovering from a broken femur from last year that resulted in one botched surgery and then a subsequent full hip replacement in late September and don’t have the mobility to easily climb into the attic to monitor what he was doing. I subsequently have read better business reviews from number senior citizens who claim they felt ripped off and taken advantage of. I have someone else coming Wednesday April 2nd and am quite disappointed in John Moore Services for this situation.

I am starting to feel neglected by a company I thought it was going to be there for me. It's going downhill... Nevertheless, great job by Quentin! As a tech, he did the job of 3 people in less than 5 minutes. He didn't have to, but looked up my purchased VIP membership and caught that I had been misled and OVERCHARGED by another John Moore tech. When the lady on the other side of the line was ready to cancel my membership and services with a very "i-dont-care" and unapologetic attitude...definitely at my request for all the mess they have caused. He called her back and straightened up everything for me, she then apologized and I am about to call back again to see if the have finally fixed my stuff. John Moore OVERCHARGED me for a VIP that was marked "Essential" when in fact charged me for an upgraded version. VIP stands for Very Important Person...but I got treated like top dirt. After all, Quentin saved the day! But I am DONE with John Moore!
