Fantastic Carpet Services is a third-generation company serving the Houston Area since 1979. It was started by my grandmother,Thelma McGury and was run by my father, James W. McGury II. I have been involved with the business since the beginning and have owned the company since 1991. We are currently staffed with myself, James Walter McGury III; my wife Shari is the office manager; my uncle, Dave Bennett has retired after 40 year of service.

- BWBernadine WoodardNov 10, 20255.0I've used Fantastic Carpet for several carpets, large and small. This last time I had spilled my smoothie on an Native American style rug that I used on a table beside my couch. I am very fond of this rug. The smoothie had Turmeric in it!!!!😲 Turmeric stains very badly and is difficult to remove. I called Fantastic Carpet immediately and he picked it up right away. It took a few days so I knew he was working hard to remove the stain. The rug turned out great with only a very small spot barely visible. I am exceedingly pleased with the results and grateful for his faithfulness to his excellent customer service 😀 The price also included 2 other rugs.

We were preparing for last minute house guests when we noticed that the bedroom carpet looked very bad with old pet stains and water stains from where we had previously tried to clean it ourselves. My expectations were pretty low since the carpet is old and badly stained. But Jim really worked miracles and it ended up looking great. I honestly couldn’t believe how much better the carpet looked. Both Jim and Sherry were very accommodating and extremely friendly and helpful. I can’t recommend the company enough! You won’t be disappointed.

This small business (owned by a husband, Jim, and wife, Sherry) has been a family business for years. Jim is an expert with 45 years of experience in the industry having worked with his grandparents as a child. He saved us by patching (almost imperceptibly) two carpet snags and tracking down a near identical carpet to the rest of our home for a room that was beyond repair and cleaned our carpets in the remaining rooms for a competitive rate. Jim and Sherry are both very professional and also just delightful to interact with. Can’t thank them enough for the work they did for us!
