Due to the poor construction and lack of integrity of the construction manager Haley, I would NOT purchase a home through brightland homes. My entire home buying experience was ruined due to Haley. She ignored 80% of the issues that we brought to her attention during the initial walkthrough by waiting until THE MORNING of my closing date to tackle the issues. Also, while rushing to fix the issues, the construction team put a hole in my soffit, creating another issues on top of the issues that were already present. I had to push my closing appointment back twice and the issues still weren’t fixed. But it gets worse, Haley gave me her word that she would fix the soffit back to its original state but she quickly went back on her word as soon as I closed.
Haley stopped answering the phone and replying to texts as soon as I closed. I had to reach out to the sales rep Katie, corporate, her manager Don, and several others just to get work completed on my home that should have been completed after the initial walkthrough. The issues eventually did get fixed but it took screenshots, threats of poor reviews, and reaching out to corporate JUST to get Haley to fix my home. It took 29 days AFTER closing for my issues to be completed.
There were times when Haley and I would agree on a date to work on my home and not only would the crew not show up, she wouldn’t even have the decency to communicate that they wouldn’t be there with me. A complete waste of my time. I had to take off from work just to have my time wasted and nothing completed on my home.
You would honestly think that a construction manager would take pride in their work. I even had cemented footprints in my driveway. I had to have my driveway ardexed it looks so bad. As a construction manager, it’s clear that she isn’t taking time to actually walkthrough the homes herself to ensure quality.
I do want to give a shout-out to Katie M, the sales rep. She is a rockstar. She is an asset to brightland. She deserves 5 stars. When Haley started ignoring me, Katie acted as a middle man for communication between Haley and I. And she didn’t have to do that but she did because she truly cares about the customer.
In summary, I would not recommend brightland until they hire construction managers who care. And if you do decide to work with them, make sure you do a thorough walk through and do not close until you are completely satisfied. I wouldn’t wish my experience on my worst enemy. It’s sad that one person can make the entire company look bad, but Haley you were successful in doing that. Bravo.
Thank you to Don and Katie for being stand up individuals.

I have to start by saying Brighland Homes doesn’t care about their customers (especially people of color). I have been looking to purchase a home for a while and finally settled for Brighland homes. Because of the short duration of the contract, during our final walkthrough, my realtor asked if I can get an inspection after the fact and if the builder will cover any repairs from the report. The construction manager said “Yes” that repairs will be covered as long as it is under one year.
To make the story shower, after moving in, we realized the AC unit what was placed right outside the master bedroom was making loud noises and we couldn’t sleep. I submitted several warranty requests and the builder will not fix it, instead they said the AC manufacturer has to repair it. We called the AC installer who told my family that the builder was informed not to install the AC right by the master bedroom, but they refused to listed and had them install where it is currently located.
From speaking to other neighbors who purchased Brightland homes, they said they had the same issue and had to complain to corporate before the builder agreed to relocate the AC unit.
I have tried several times to get this unit relocated so we can sleep peace, but nothing is working. That’s why I think the builder treats people of color quite differently.
This has turned out to be the worse home buying experience and I will never recommend this builder to anyone I know. My realtor has tried to make several contacts with the sales consultant, but it seems he doesn’t care to help either. Brightland homes is terrible.

I can't speak for other subdivisions, but I can say that the quality of the houses being built in Inverses Estates, Tomball, is a major disappointment. Leaks, cracks, broken pieces, trash left behind, terrible paint job, damaged doors, damaged cabinets, uneven door frames... The list goes on and on. One neighbor even found urine in her house from the work crew twice! We bought a new house thinking we would avoid any major issues. What's worse is that it takes months to get any warranty issues addressed, IF they ever get addressed. As a customer I feel like I have been completely taken advantage of. I would never purchase a Gehan Home again or recommend it to anyone. They've quickly turned what should have been one of the most enjoyable experiences of our lives into an absolute nightmare. My advise, take your money to a home builder that understands how much this investment means to you and respects you as a customer.
