I wasn't super impressed with the guy in my area, but that doesn't mean that person working in another location of Houston isn't amazing. Pros: (1) Showed up. (2) Good prices for services. (3) Explored a bunch of options to fix prior to spending big bucks to replace the unit. Cons. (1) Guy said he'd be there in the morning. Stayed home from work to meet him. Hour after the scheduled appointment, called, and he said he didn't have me down on the schedule until that evening.... Uh huh. (2) I got a quote for the major repairs prior to starting. When the guy arrived, I got the distinct impression that if our little fixes didn't work (i.e. flushing lines, replacing coolant, etc.), he was going to high-tail it out of there because he didn't want to do the work. Our attic is tight, and it would have been a pain, but a quote is a quote is a quote. I'm not entirely sure the little fixes actually solved our problem. If they didn't, I think I'll be looking to another service provider.
