Terrible company, owner, and experience. Would give zero stars if possible.

I have used Boss Contracting several times. Once I had them repair my celling in my master bath where I had a leak from my fireplace chimney. Also called them to sanitize my house when my husband had Cove. I just had Boss Contracting paint my entire house they did an excellent job and no mess. Very pleasant to work with. I am a Realtor and referred Boss Contracting to several clients and everyone I referred to has thanked me and told me what a good job and how pleasant the workers were. I definitely would refer Boss Contracting to any and everyone I know!
Yes, I do offer free estimates for mold remediation and contracting services!
Can you work with my insurance company for water and fire damage?
Yes, we can facilitate payment and scheduling and help streamline the entire process.
Do I need to wait for my adjuster to come before having you come to my home?
No, we can come to assess the damage before the adjuster gets there and work with your insurance company.
How do I know if I have a mold issue?
Visually if you can see mold, then you would need to have it tested. If you cannot see it you can still have air samples done by a third party that I can refer you to.
Do you have to be licensed to remove mold?
If you are a homeowner, no, but a business has to be licensed in Texas to remove mold.
Can I cleanup a water damage myself even if I’m making an insurance claim?
Yes, absolutely. You will work directly with your adjuster to convey information regarding the damages and estimates. You will also be responsible for ensuring the affected area has been mitigated properly. However, if you use a Restoration Company, you will have a team thoroughly inspect using thermal imaging and moisture meters to find moisture that could be imbedded in materials that aren’t seen with the naked eye, all necessary photos and dehumidification records and drying equipment. Also, we work with your insurance company to make sure your estimates are fair and compensate you fully for your damages.
Do I need to leave my home during a water mitigation?
Not necessarily, it really depends on the affected area and whether or not you can still comfortably function in your day to day life. If the damage is confined to a garage or spare bedroom, most occupants stay in the home. If the damage is in the only bathroom or kitchen, most occupants opt to stay in a hotel or make other living arrangements, which can be paid for by insurance if its in their policy and the conditions qualify.
What is the difference between water mitigation and mold remediation?
A water mitigation (water damage) is considered a “sudden loss” and if cleaned up in a timely manner, will result in minimal damage to affected materials. For example, a sudden leak from a sink/toilet/dishwasher may affect flooring and cabinets but can be dried effectively. If a leak from sink/toilet/dishwasher goes undetected for a long period of time, it could cause mold growth and irreversible damage that can only be removed not just dried.

Are there licensing requirements for mold removal services?
Homeowners do not need a license to remove mold, but businesses in Texas must be licensed to perform mold removal.
Can I clean up water damage myself when making an insurance claim?
Yes, but working with a restoration company like Boss Contracting ensures thorough inspection and proper documentation for insurance compensation.
Do I need to leave my home during water mitigation services?
