  We had windows installed by Statewide in 2024 -- the product was good, but we've run into significant issues with the service and the install and would not recommend them to anyone else. We have an old house with lead paint and notified the team so they could follow proper safety protocol; they ensured us that they install on old houses all the time and that they were well-trained in this kind of installation (their state certification checked out as well). However, when we returned to our house after the install, every surface of our home was coated in lead dust. After a bit of a run-around, they sent out a cleaning crew, and we followed that up with our own deep-cleaning. We were out of our home for about a month while mitigating the issue. More recently, we called to get an itemized list of the cost of each window for our tax forms. We were told simply that they did not itemize -- and when I pushed to see if they could at least check their books to supply us with the average sales cost for each window, they declined to help. This is all very frustrating and disappointing. Proceed with caution if you are considering a contract with Statewide.

  We hired this company to remodel our master bathroom about two years ago. One of the main reasons we chose them was the emphasis they placed on standing behind their work and honoring their warranty. About a year after the remodel, we started noticing a sewage smell coming from the shower — something we had never experienced before the renovation. After multiple calls and waiting weeks for someone to come out, they eventually inspected it but attributed the smell to the age of the house. Over the past year this has happened several times, with the same explanation each time. It’s frustrating because the issue only started after the remodel, yet no deeper investigation has been done to determine the actual cause. Given how much the company emphasized their warranty and standing behind their work, this experience has been very disappointing. We are simply asking for a thorough evaluation and a real effort to identify and resolve the issue.

  We had two Kohler walk in tubs installed in our new build. The installation technician, "Greg", came out several times to ensure plumbing and electrical were located correctly. His knowledge and constant communication made the process much easier for our builder. I appreciated being kept updated along the way and the fact Greg acted as if he was installing in his own home. Personable, efficient, knowledge are the trade marks we know associate with Statewide.

  Im sure they do a great job, and I only went as far as getting a quote from them. Their rep was great. However, several concerns. From what I can tell, this company is 3 times more expensive than other quotes I received for the same job. $100k+ for a master bathroom remodel! Another family-based contractor/interior design service quoted $30k and stood by their work. From what I can tell, they are owned by a large private-equity firm - which for me is another red flag, and explains their horrible on-boarding process and contributes to the enshittification of almost everything PE touches.

  They cancelled an appointment first of all last minute and the call center agent in Dallas told me they had double-booked me in case the other customer had cancelled... then they made another appointment that the agent didn't put in the system so that was no show as well. Finally got someone to come to the house after telling them that I would be present, not husband. They have strict policy of both home owners needing to be present, even though there is no money exchanging hands, this is to get estimate only. My husband works long hours and trusts me to get a quote. The guy came into my house and then refused to give a quote for the One door as my husband not present. Waste of time and would not want to work with this company, absolutely no sense of customer service. Their competitors do Not require both homeowners to be present for a quote, will be going with them. My husband said likely this is scam to pressure customers to sign immediately once they give presentation, that's why they're so insistent to have both slides home, they don't want you to be able to say "need to talk to my spouse" etc, want to pressure you to sign on the spot.
