- KBKia BurtonDec 13, 20241.0I reached out to State 28 in July 2023 to refresh the stain on my garage (before and after photos are attached). I decided to go with this company because they state a 3 year warranty on their work and their reviews appeared to be positive. The initial work that was completed was beautiful. However, only 17 months later, my paint is dramatically fading out of nowhere and when I reached out to the company about enacting the warranty, the work was denied because the VP of productions “believes this is to be expected with this paint.” The paint that the company uses as I did NOT provide any of my own. I read the warranty clauses in full and there are no restrictions that my garage falls into yet they will not honor their own work. I have asked for thorough reasons why my work is not covered and the only response is that this is expected and to update the paint every 2 years even though it has been less time than that. No requirement of needing an update every 2 years was ever disclosed to me. This sounds like they just don’t want to do the work. Poor customer service. Poor honor of their own company policies.

The project included all interior surfaces including walls, ceilings, trim and doors in our 3300 sqft home. The State 28 team took care in working around our schedules throughout the project ensuring we were able to utilize our home to the extent possible with only 2 nights in a hotel required. The work itself was well executed to our high standards consistent with a home at our price point. The willingness to touch-up and ensure all surfaces appeared as good or better than the builders initial work (less than ideal in places) was noteworthy. We have no hesitation in recommending State 28 for your next interior paint project.

Taylor and Jessie are a great team that helped me get 2 rooms done painlessly. We wanted a sparkly black media room and though I needed to get they glitter they created my vision flawlessly. We wanted a white kitchen and I started it only to realize that it was A LOT harder then I could do. They picked up where I left off and fixed my mess to make a beautiful room. Will be using again and again as we need many rooms to be updated over a few months.
