I did not have a good installation experience. My brand new 3.5 ton system was $12,500 (The unit inside the house and the heat pump condenser outside the house). I don’t know if that’s a good price or not.
The phone Customer Service is great. The initial technician a warranty specialist that was sent out to my house named Derrick Williams was awesome.
I hope that my experience with them was a one time fluke but $12,000 is an expensive fluke. I wish Elmer’s the best.

Review / Warning About My Experience with Elmer’s HVAC
Elmer’s came out to fix my AC because it wasn’t cooling properly. The technician tested the system and told me there was a leak in the coils. He said he contacted their parts department and was told the unit had been discontinued and that replacement parts were not available. According to him, the only option was to replace the entire unit for nearly $6,000.
The problem with that diagnosis was that the unit was less than a year old. I knew I could buy a brand-new system and have it installed for less than half that price. I contacted the manufacturer/vendor directly, and they confirmed the unit was still under warranty. They simply needed the technician’s diagnosis and a few pictures, which he had taken, in order to process a warranty replacement.
I contacted the technician and Elmer’s multiple times requesting a written diagnosis and photos so the warranty could be initiated. I never received the information and never even received a callback. They completely ghosted me.
Because of that, I called a different HVAC company to come inspect the unit and provide documentation for the warranty. After spending about an hour examining the system, the new technician said he did not believe there was a leak at all. In fact, he said the previous technician had likely made the situation worse because the system was now freezing up, which it had not been doing before.
The new technician recovered the refrigerant, performed a nitrogen leak test, and confirmed there were no leaks anywhere in the system. He then recharged the refrigerant, and the AC has been working perfectly for over a week.
This experience cost me additional time, but it also saved me thousands of dollars by getting a second opinion.
Fair warning to others: when your AC goes down, companies know you’re under pressure to fix it quickly. Unfortunately, some like Elmer's, use that urgency to push expensive replacements that may not actually be necessary—even when the system is less than a year old and still under warranty.
If something doesn’t sound right, get a second opinion before approving a major repair or replacement.

I want to personally recognize Chris and Pepper for their outstanding service. They came out to our home in record time and quickly resolved the issue we were having with our AC unit. For two days, our house was sitting at 76°, and with small children and pets, keeping the home cool was definitely a priority. Thankfully, the weather wasn’t hotter, but we knew we needed it fixed quickly.
From the moment I called Elmer’s to schedule service, to the assessment visit, and then the repair the very next day, the entire team has been pleasant, friendly, and professional. Chris and Pepper were incredibly thorough — checking and double-checking their work to ensure everything was running efficiently the first time.
I also truly appreciate that the repair was covered under warranty. That level of integrity and service, especially within the first few years of installation, speaks volumes about the company.
Another huge bonus was their responsiveness. They came out the same day I called and returned the very next day to complete the repair. That kind of turnaround is rare.
Chris and Pepper were extremely kind and respectful — not only of our home but also of our dogs. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and satisfied before leaving, even asking if we needed anything else. Chris even labeled the unit and showed us exactly how to properly install the filter next time — which was truly above and beyond.
We will absolutely continue recommending Elmer’s to friends and family looking for new AC installations or service. Excellent experience from start to finish!

I cannot say enough great things about Chris Ajamian and Jesus Garcia “Pepper”! From the moment they arrived, they were the definition of professional, respectful, and incredibly knowledgeable. They took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all of our questions, and made sure we felt completely comfortable every step of the way.
What really stood out was how at ease they made us feel in our own home. It honestly felt like we had a couple of friends over helping us tackle a project — friendly, personable, and genuinely kind. That level of comfort and trust means everything.

Paid 4k for HVAC repairs and was told problem was fixed and system running fine. Ran fine for 2 yrs and today while still paying out my old repair in payments, now system has a leak and now will be 2,700 to repair. As if the average American household are cash cows. Ridiculous! Oh but was recommended to upgrade to an entirely new system. God know how much that will cost….an arm or leg perhaps? So disappointed in Elmers!
