  My experience with ProBuild in Fredericksburg, TX and Georgetown, TX has been problematic with respect to billing and the system the stores use. 1. Their system cannot locate my charge account by my last name. This presented problems with two of my builders not being able to charge to my account. Not sure what the problem is, but they have to find me by my first name! 2. We had way too much material delivered to our job site. Our contractor felt there was enough material to build a second home. When he called the store to have the material picked up, it took the store 30-40 days to pick it up. The problem was the store wanted us to pay for all of the material during this period. My wife called the store manager finally, and he admitted he was not aware the material was still sitting on the ground. After pick up finally happened, we waited for the credit to go through BEFORE we paid the account balance. While we waited for the credit, another department in the same store started calling our contractor and saying we were behind on payment. When we spoke with the credit department, they said there was a miscommunication and we weren't really behind. 3. There were several special order items that were sent to our job site that we did not order. In fact, much of the order was just sent without communication with our contractor. Thankfully, the items were returned but it was more than $1,000 in material that we did not want, need, nor order. 4. The salesperson ordered our trusses and floor joists for our contractor. The salesperson did not tell us they were ordered from the Georgetown, TX store. We never received a single bill from Georgetown and assumed we paid for the trusses and joists through the Fredericksburg store. Out of the blue, we received a notice at our address a notice a mechanics lien. When we spoke with the Georgetown location the informed us the Fredericksburg location did not update our address in the system. We took care of that twice!! What I found interesting is they could get the lien notice to our address but not the bills??? 5. I am suspicious as to why a salesperson will order too much material and expensive special order items and not pick up the excess BEFORE the bill is paid. Do they work on commission? Due to all of these issues concerning the financing of our materials and potential damage to my credit rating, I cannot in good conscience recommend this company to anyone! I will never shop at this location again and neither will my builders. I will recommend anyone to use the local competition or drive to Kerrville and buy from MG Builders, Lowe's or Home Depot.
