- MCMichelle CooperNov 16, 20251.0I recently moved into my parents home. My father was a heavy smoker so I wanted to get my air ducts cleanered out. I called to get a quote and someone came out. The lady who came took a look and told me they really needed to be cleaned out as well as stating that I needed a pipe unclogged. I had 15 air ducts, 2 of them being brand new. She quoted me $6500 for the cleaning and unclogging a drainage pipe. That seems insane high. I got a text 2 days later asking me when I would want to schedule and I advised her that I wanted to get another quote. She responded back asking if there was anything she could do to make me book today. I said no and she sent me a new quote for $3300. That made me more suspicious of their pricing. I called another company and they came out snd told me my air ducts really didn’t need to be cleaned, they were in great condition but if I still wanted them cleaned it would $975. What a huge price difference. I would highly recommend getting quotes from other companies.

We have sticker shock that a 3-year-old AC would require so much expense and are beginning to feel as though we are getting constant up-selling. The dehumidifier at 12K was one thing but to suggest (which we didn't choose) that one choice was to rebuild the plenum (because there was minor biological growth on it) at 4.5K was ridiculous. We are 70 and 73 and feel somewhat disgruntled about this. Do they work on commission?

In 2023 we had Malek Service Company install a Vista tankless water heater in our home. After 2 years and having countless issues and having 2 of the Vista tankless water heaters replaced we finally had enough of the Vista and its tankless water heater. Ethan the manager sent Colton his top notch service technician and replaced our tankless water heater today with no charge for the 3rd time. Colton was awesome and very informative in our install. Colton did a very tight and clean install. After all the noises and error codes and faulty equipment from Vista we had Malek Service company resolve our hot water heater issues today with a new tankless water heater from Noritz. Thank you Ethan, Colton and Malek for going above and beyond to make myself and wife happy going forward for the holidays. Thank you
