Being military we have purchased more than a few homes all which were new construction. We have been living here since the end of May, had a punch list prior to closing which has still not been completed. Once we moved in to our house the promises of fixing things came every day…30 days go by…60 days go by…90 days go by and we still can not get the house to where it should have been BEFORE we moved in. We have had serious issues with our septic, to the point of it alarming and we were told if it went any further it would back up into the house. Company came out but we still have not had any follow up with whether or not it’s been fixed. Our garage door was malfunctioning, concrete is all over the front walk, the driveway is cracked, sod has never taken, fence has such a gap one of our dogs was able to get half her body under. So many other issues to include the shower, the garbage disposal, paint and more than I can list here. Originally the issues were brought to the attention of the supervisor of the community at the final walkthrough where we were told “I’m working on it”. We continued to hear “I’m working on it” on ann almost daily basis, when I would see him in the neighborhood. After his timeframe was ended we got passed to the warranty company. Amanda shows up at the house to take the punch list, makes promises of her “being on top of it and making sure it gets take care of”. Weeks go by…zero communication, even with us reaching out to her. It got to the point where we had to go above her to her boss…Wyatt. Wyatt also comes out to our house to take the same punch list, makes the same promises of “you have me now, I will make sure this gets taken care of”. “I will follow up with you daily to update you”. None of this has happened. I have a text message thread of all of the empty promises, the lack of accountability, promises and communication. We have been promised trades would “come out this week” every week for at least 6 weeks and NOTHING. We are completely frustrated that we spent a ton of money on a house with such poor quality, poor management and poor customer service! We are stuck with Wyatt from warranty because they are “short staffed” and have no way to go around him. I recommend that you RUN far away from this builder!! Even if they are the last option DO NOT buy from Richmond American!!! Anyone that asks I will make sure to give my opinion!!
