Our kitchen sink was clogged, but it was clogged way down the pipe, Dominic spent a 1 1/2 days determined to fix it. I appreciated the dedication. We are having guest the next day so absolutely needed the kitchen sink to be working.

These folks have always done a great job for me! My first time with Gilberto as my tech but was excellent. Let me know about some work I'll need to do as part of normal wear and tear but without making it a pressure situation. Also love that I can schedule onljne.

We have been customers of Service Wizard for many years. The Osgoods have been in the HVAC business for over 30 years. They are very knowledgeable, do excellent work, and provide excellent customer service. All of SW’s technicians are top notch including Daniel L. who performed a fall check today on our gas furnace.

Scott Bandy is an excellent technician! He showed great patience while guiding us through how to properly maintain our AC and keep it clean. We were really impressed with his professionalism and knowledge. Our construction team never explained how to drain and clear out the AC system, but Scott took the time to show us everything and got our unit running smoothly—without letting outdoor air affect our indoor air quality. We truly appreciate you, Scott! Please enjoy lunch on us as a small token of our thanks.

TL;DR: meh. They got the job done but it was kind of expensive and the customer service wasn’t amazing. I don’t think I’ll use them again but my experience wasn’t super horrible.
My AC stopped working, I spent a day or two trying to fix it myself with no luck. I felt defeated and called service wizard. It was okay. Here are my pros and cons
** to be clear, this was NOT an emergency appt **
Pros:
- Mike came and he was nice, competent, and worked quickly.
- my AC is fixed (it ended up being a clogged drain which I think would’ve been easy to DIY)
- they had lots of availability and came on time
Cons:
- it was originally $450 just to clear the drain. It’s a $90 diagnostic fee that does NOT go towards the repair. maybe I’m cheap but that seems like a lot to unclog a drain.
- plus, they were having a deal for $50 off repairs, and I had to ask him to apply it and show him the website. Idk if he knew about it and didn’t want to give it to me or if he was unaware of the deal.
- They give you a discounts if you sign up for their cancellable membership. so that plus the $50 off deal got it down to ~$320 for a 10 minute job. I don’t think that’s wildly over the standard unfortunately but I still think it’s kind of a lot. Especially after $130 worth of discounts for a non-emergency appt.
- was a bit disappointed in the customer service. Apart from having to ask for the $50 off, there were two other things I wasn’t a huge fan of. First: I removed the electrical panel off my AC unit to replace the capacitor but that didn’t work and the part was also too big so I ordered a new one in the right size. While I waited for the appt/for the capacitor to come in, I left the panel off for like 12h until the appt since I figured they would def remove it anyway. I also imagined they would offer to replace the capacitor. (Maybe that was entitled of me? I’ve had other repairmen come and offer similar things after cheaper and harder repairs so I guess I figured they would totally do it. It also only took me like 5m and I imagined it would take a pro 30s. Maybe that was wrong of me to assume.) anyway. When the tech was leaving he said “also you left your electrical panel off 🤨?… you should probably replace that… a kid could get into that so..” then I was like “oh yeah I just left it off overnight bc the capacitor doesn’t fit and I was kinda um.. idk I have the new capacitor here … so” and I chickened out of asking him to replace it and just kinda trailed off. he was like “gotcha. Okay well bye” HAHA. And I also wondered, if I hadn’t removed it myself, wouldn’t he have removed/replaced it anyway? Idk.
The other small thing. he told me when he unclogs the drain it could potentially clog the sink it drains to. Then he was like “yeah and you’re gonna have to unclog that… you just have to take the p trap off and clear it. I can’t do it though, it’s a liability for me to touch that … so.. :/“ which maybe if that was the only thing I wouldn’t have minded but. I guess I just think it’s kind of a stretch to say clearing the p trap is a liability. Idk. Maybe it is. I just generally felt like the customer service was the bare minimum, especially given the fact that it was a $450 job. You’d think they’d be willing to spend 3 extra mins to help out if they’re getting $450 (or even $320) lol.
So yeah can’t say I’m a huge fan but if you’re in a pinch or whatever they’ll fix your problem.
