  In the summer of 2024, we decided to replace all the floors in our house along with updating the kitchen and bathrooms. Our initial attempts to find qualified contractors did not go well. We had zero confidence in their proposed solutions, scheduling, price estimations and communication styles. Late on a particularly frustrating Friday afternoon, we passed a flooring store we had seen many times, Floor Centers of Texas. A fixture among the businesses on Burnet Road, we knew a company that had been around that long must be doing things right, so we went in. We met the owner, Garett Koch and vented our concerns with some of the solutions earlier contractors had proposed. He listened, asked a few questions and gave us honest answers. We immediately liked Garett and set up a meeting the following week where we met and reviewed the project scope in detail. Garett explained that while he could help us with much of the work, several things we wanted were beyond the services of FCT. With years of experience, Garett knew many qualified tradesmen that he could recommend the remaining projects. After meeting with the other contractors, we were able to address everything in our project scope. While we dealt separately with each of the other contractors, Garett was crucial in coordinating what turned out to be an aggressive schedule. The project began on time, stayed on budget and was completed on schedule. We are very pleased with the quality of the materials and workmanship of the experienced FCT crew and the other crafts. We were impressed with the coordination and the outstanding communication maintained throughout the project.   10 out of 10 experience working with Garett and his team on our back patio! We had considered some other big box retailers and in the end could not have been happier that we went with Garett. He was knowledgeable, followed up through the process, was patient in answering all of our questions and got the job done quickly. We will use again for our next project!

  I'm a designer--Garrett, the owner, is incredibly attentive, helpful, and patient. He is my go-to for flooring in Austin. His inventory accommodates any and all of my project types, styles, and BUDGETS. He doesn't 'push sales' and is always highly responsive when I need a quick solution.

  Love my new wall-to-wall seagrass! These folks know what they're doing! Who knew that you need to let seagrass 'rest' for 24 hours after unrolling it BEFORE installing it. They put a nice pad underneath for a cushy feel and it looks and feels perfect. I appreciated their honesty and professionalism.
