- FTFineson TruebloodMay 15, 20251.0The lift that was delivered was not charged. This has been something that is experienced almost every single time we rent from United Rentals. I can deal with the dirt and cleanliness of these lifts, it takes 5 minutes to clean out but if the lift isn't charged it takes more than 3 hours to get a good charge that will last the day. Time is Money.
- MAMorgan AndersonOct 28, 20241.0I recently rented a generator from this location and received very poor customer service while in my possession. I was using this generator during an event and needed it to run my vendor booth. Midway through my rental, it would not crank and proceeded to push an error message through saying ‘low coolant level’. I added coolant and it did not immediately start. I called the United Rentals location to speak to customer service to assist. I was told they might could send a tech out to assist. Mind you, I’m trying to run a vendor booth. They had zero interest in helping me with this error. I had request to talk to tech to help me over the phone, and thankfully they obliged. Soon after, another error message popped up saying ‘low voltage’. Again, I called the United Rental location and again I had to request tech a via phone to walk me through the process and ended up having to jump the rented generators 3 year old battery with my pick up truck. I had to boost jump the generator 4 times that week. United Rentals Abilene had zero interest in making sure my generator problems were resolved. They should have come and switched that particular generator with one that was running correctly. Instead I lost business because it was down, I came out of pocket for coolant and was told I was responsible for making sure it was level. United Rentals should have stepped in and made sure their product was running properly instead of pushing the the problem onto the paying customer.
