You have no idea how frustrating it can be to acquire a nice piece of granite for a bathroom remodel. It sounds simple, right? Go to a store, pick out a slab, give them your dimensions. Not so fast! Not when you visit dozens of granite shops around Nashville only to be told at each one of them that they don’t offer that size, there are minimum dimensions required, they don’t have smaller pieces for bathrooms, you’ll have to buy a giant piece of granite and throw away the other half, and countless other excuses.
Enter Nashville Quality Granite, our saving grace during our primary bath remodel! Caleb was incredibly helpful and patient, and we’re thankful for him! The warehouse has numerous leftover pieces of granite from other orders suitable for a bathroom vanity. I’m not sure if walk-ins are welcome or if we just scored an appointment courtesy of our contractor, but we walked right in and were welcomed with open arms.
The address might route you down a side street behind the building on your GPS. So just aim for the dead end on Trimble Street and you’ll see their sign on the blue fence. I strongly recommend this establishment for your granite, marble, and quartz needs!

Honest review, please read in full. We decided to go with NQG because we were sold on their customer service, Google reviews, and their open availability to do the installation of a special ordered marble stone. HOWEVER- we ended up having them UNINSTALL and take our stone away, for several reasons. The cut and install of the stone had mistake after mistake, too many mistakes for us to keep and be happy with, at $135/sqft. The template measurement of our cooktop was off center by and inch and a half to the left. The sink cutout came off center by 1/2inch. The faucet & soap dispener holes were not measured correctly from front to back, and were out of square. We had 5 different corners in our tiny kitchen, after specifically stating we wanted matching corners. Our brand new custom made cabinets had a door chewed up because the installer dropped the sink during install, which was eventually mounted out of square as well. We also ordered an eased edge and received an over sanded, rounded edge. Please see pictures of all of the above. I am giving 2 stars because the owner did refund our deposit, and offered to haul the stone away. The owner was very good at customer service, though the work on the template, cut and install was not satisfactory. We still have damage to our cabinet door, and a mystery scratch on the fridge which showed up the day of their install. It took 3 weeks from install day to come and remove the stone. We were super disappointed in the cut and quality of install of the countertop and are now without a kitchen for another 2 months because of this poor workmanship. I'm not certain if we caught them off their game and our situation is unique, but I wanted to give an honest review of our experience.
Frequently Asked Questions About Nashville Quality Granite
What are the major differences between quartz and granite?
Quartz is an engineered material consisting of approximately 95% ground natural quartz stone and 5% synthetic materials like resins and pigments. Granite, on the other hand, is a 100% natural stone extracted from quarries, then cut and polished for various applications. Quartz rates slightly higher on the Mohs hardness scale at 7, compared to granite's 6, making it somewhat more resistant to cracks and chips. However, both materials are considerably more durable than alternatives like soapstone or marble. For expert advice on quartz or granite countertops in Nashville, TN, please contact Nashville Quality Granite.
How do I know if my granite needs to be resealed?
A simple water test can determine if your granite requires resealing. Apply water to the surface; if it beads up, the sealant is still effective. If the water is absorbed, it indicates that the granite is no longer protected against stains. As a preventive measure, it's advisable to reseal granite countertops annually to guard against staining and water damage. If you have granite countertops in Nashville, TN that need resealing, please reach out to Nashville Quality Granite for professional assistance.
Can I cut right on my granite countertop?
Granite's exceptional durability allows for direct cutting on its surface without risk of scratching. However, this practice may rapidly dull your knives due to the stone's hardness. It's important to note that cutting certain raw meats, such as chicken, directly on granite is not recommended due to the potential risk of bacterial contamination. For more information about granite countertops in Nashville, TN, please contact Nashville Quality Granite.
Can I set hot pans and pots straight on my granite surface?
Granite's heat-resistant properties make it an ideal material for kitchen countertops. It will not burn or scorch when exposed to hot cookware placed directly on its surface. If you're considering granite countertops in Nashville, TN, please contact Nashville Quality Granite for further details and expert advice.
What can I expect during my granite or quartz installation?
During installation, some stone dust may be generated from on-site adjustments or cutouts, despite efforts to minimize it. The installation process may also dislodge dust from inside cabinets. To facilitate cleanup and prevent potential damage, it's recommended to empty lower cabinets and remove utensil drawers. Additionally, it's advisable to postpone painting or installing trim in the installation area. For professional quartz countertop installation in Nashville, TN, please contact Nashville Quality Granite.
Do white quartz countertops stain easily?
Quartz countertops, being 99.9% solid and non-porous, are highly resistant to stains from common substances such as fruit juices, tea, coffee, and food coloring. Regular maintenance involves simple cleaning with warm water and a soft sponge. For more stubborn stains, a mild liquid cleaner can be effective. If you're interested in exploring quartz countertop options in Nashville, TN, please contact Nashville Quality Granite for expert guidance.
Does marble-looking quartz really look like marble?
Marble-looking quartz offers a realistic veined appearance reminiscent of natural marble. It provides the luxurious aesthetic of marble without the concerns of staining, frequent resealing, or susceptibility to scratches, burns, and chips. For information about marble-look quartz or authentic marble countertops in Nashville, TN, please contact the team at Nashville Quality Granite.
Should granite be sealed?
Sealing granite is essential for protecting the stone from staining. The sealer is a penetrating product that fills the porous spaces in the granite without altering its color, preventing staining agents from penetrating the surface. While sealer provides significant protection, it's not an impermeable barrier, so prompt cleanup of any spills is still recommended. For inquiries about sealing granite countertops in Nashville, TN, please contact Nashville Quality Granite.
Can I place hot items directly on my granite countertops?
Granite can withstand temperatures exceeding 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit, allowing for direct placement of items from ovens, stovetops, or grills without the need for trivets or hot pads. However, it's important to note that hot glass dishes may crack when placed on cool granite surfaces due to thermal shock. For any questions regarding the care of granite countertops in Nashville, TN, please contact Nashville Quality Granite.
Why choose quartz over granite?
Quartz offers superior ease of maintenance compared to granite. Its non-porous nature renders it heat-resistant, stain-resistant, and inhospitable to bacteria. Quartz countertops achieve high durability without requiring sealant application. According to The Spruce, quartz countertops are completely impervious to water.
